So, I'm anticipating administering meds via nasogastric tube, and I know that you have to crush the meds and mix with water to administer. My question is a simple one, but I'm just not sure. Do you crush each med individually and give them one by one? Or do you crush them all and give them all together all at once? Much Thanks!!

Per Potter and Perry you are supposed to crush and administer each medication separately and flush between each medication (whether or not that is really done is a different story).
Look at steps 11, 17 and 20

You must have orders to "cocktail" the drugs aka mix together. Otherwise you must give them individually. Does that always happen.... especially when you have 45+ residents to pass meds to.

And that resident had 45 meds
