Hey ! I know im super early to make this thread for the MDE program at Columbia for the 2021 start year ? but I was wondering if there are any future nurses out there as eager as me to get started !!

I got a mix of A and B's in my prereqs, a 3.5 GPA and some volunteer experience in nursing homes and food kitchen, nothing major. I had some flaws In my transcript that I addressed in the addendum. Didn't do the optional essay. I didn't type much during the timed writing and my video essay I don't think it went good because everything I was speaking about did not make much sense LOL but yeah.... I think it was mostly the personal statement.

Yes I did. I came home and checked my email and reported back here. Congrats to those who did get accepted ! I may apply again for next year.

Hi everyone! I am new here. I wanted to say "hi" to my future classmates (well, if the financial aid works that is). I got accepted in the MDE-DNP Adult-Gero Family NP today. My hands were literally shaking and I was attending a Zoom meeting for work. Congrats to all those who were accepted as well. Can't wait to meet you.  I am sad that not everyone got accepted, but they said it was a particularly heavy application year.

I noticed everyone seems to have applied for a DNP, and now I’m hitting myself for not having done so. Does anyone know if someone is able to apply for a DNP while completing the MDE? If so, is it difficult to do?

would anyone that was accepted be willing to share their stats? no pressure!

I cant even remember my video essay for columbia ? does anyone else feel kind of meh about their vid/timed writing?

Yes, you can apply for DNP while in the MDE program.

I thought my timed writing was painfully awful. To the point where I sit back and think- what was I thinking LOL

Yeah I was stumbling a little in my video essay ?? and I kinda blanked out on the timed writing.
