Hey ! I know im super early to make this thread for the MDE program at Columbia for the 2021 start year ? but I was wondering if there are any future nurses out there as eager as me to get started !!

Hi! I'm a longtime lurker and wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has been accepted this round!! ? I received an email on November 6 that my application was being reviewed in the first round, but I guess it doesn't mean that my acceptance/rejection was going to be released in the first round, as I haven't received a decision yet. Was anyone accepted to the MDE/DNP Adult/Gerontology Acute Care program?

whew! congratulations to everyone that got in today!! I am so happy to hear of everyone’s success!!

I submitted my application 9/22 and had one outstanding prereq! I received an email stating my application was passed on for review on 11/19 and have not yet gotten a reply! maybe it also has to do with outstanding classes! who knows ? 

did everyone that got accepted submit their application as soon as the application opened? 

HAHA not sure if it’s obvious but I’m trying to alleviate some anxiety ??

I also submitted my application fairly early but had ONE outstanding letter of recommendation! Was your outstanding prereq A&P possibly? I took A&P this fall and submitted my grade in late December. I know they said that your A&P grade is really important, so that could be why? I also didn't get my decision today, so we'll have to wait til the second round ???

oh yes! my last prereq was A&P 2 and I uploaded the transcript onto my portal at the end of december as well. the wait is so nerve wracking! I hope we both get in!! ?

Yup, I'm thinking that's why! At least we know that we won't hear anything until February so we can relax until then? IDK I'm still so nervous ??

me too! I’m right with ya ? the wait is painful! I haven’t heard back from any other schools yet either so the wait is especially tough RN for me HAHA!

Congrats to all those in! And good luck to all of those waiting like me! I still have Micro pending. It’s weird how many have not receive all the emails while others have. Not sure what goes into that. In any case, let’s wait for the second round or more of the first. Not many have posted about being accepted yet. 
I applied for the DNP in Psychiatry back in September.

I didn't apply to other schools, yet. I mentioned not long ago how I was 90% sure that I uploaded the rough draft of my PS by mistake and not the final copy so that may be why I was rejected. I got a mix of A and B's in my prereqs, a 3.5 GPA and some volunteer experience in nursing homes and food kitchen, nothing major. I had some flaws In my transcript that I addressed in the addendum. Didn't do the optional essay. I didn't type much during the timed writing and my video essay I don't think it went good because everything I was speaking about did not make much sense LOL but yeah.... I think it was mostly the personal statement.
