MDC Spring 2012 :)

Published

Hi guys!

I was hoping to get to know some of the people that will be applying to the Spring 12 nursing program.

I've been following the MDC Fall 2011 =) thread and I'm super excited for them, but now I'm even more excited since this time it's finally me who is applying to the nursing program.

So...who else is applying???? :redbeathe

:nurse:

Has anybody heard anything from Baptist about the Baptist Scholar Program? Im anxious to get the interview over with. :coollook:

I have not heard from Baptist yet. Hopeully we will hear from them soon.:nurse:

Hi, was wodering how long does it usually take to get the results back from the titers?...

and what should be worn to orientation?

At the location where I did all my tests,, it took about a week to receive the titers report. The drug screen took the longest, about 10 days. I would imagine that it varies depending on location, but I can't imagine that it would it would take too much longer than this.

I did my tests in a clinic that mdc recommended. They drawed me some blood for the titters and the drug test. They also tested me for tb and asked me to return in 2 days for the next tb tests. It all took like a week. So i would recommend that clinic to those ho just received their acceptance letter. Oh! and Everything costed 170 including the physical.

Oh ok, that a relief I was worried it would take very long.

Out of curiusity has anyone else registered for the cpr class at the medical campus on 11/18/11?

Can you please give me the information on where you went, thats a great price. I called a urgent care clinic by my house in plantation and they wanted 388 for everything. Thank you so much!;)

Sure! The adress is 4100 nw 9th st suite 100 miami, fl 33126. 3056437111. Btw if you are not inmune the.vaccines are charged separated. I had to get 3 vaccines (in 1 shot) and it costes $60 more.

Good luck! :)

Yisy4u, thank you so much!!

FYI guys,

I actually have health insurance and I have spent just a little under the cost Yisy stated so $ 170 is a great price.

My co-pay to see my primary was $35 + TB test were $30ea x 2, and then I was not immune to the measels so that vaccine was another $35. + the Hep B vaccine was another $35. BTW, per my Dr. health insurance only covers the cost of vaccines if you are under 18.

Yisy4u, thank you so much!!

Yw :D

Hey guys,

I haven't posted in a while, but the last time I posted we were talking about getting negative titer results. I went to my dr to get the varicella vaccine and I have to go again at the end of the month. A week later, they will redraw my titer and then I will be submitting my results to MDC. I didnt call myself to see what they said when I asked them, but I am going off of the info you guys posted. I asked my doc to write on the form that she administered the vaccine to me so that whoever is working on my form can see that I am in the process of getting my varicella done...

I have insurance and it only costed me the copay. The vaccines and TB tests were all free for me and I am over 18. So I guess it depends on your insurance. I have coventry open HMO.

I can definitely recommend Doctors 365 in Broward. Very nice, very professional, and 170 bucks for the full range of tests, with the second TB test being another 12 bucks.
