Hi,
I just took the Hesi entrance exam last week and I am about to apply to Miami Dade College for the Spring 2017 generic full time program. The deadline is September 1 so I am sure there are more than a few people that have applied or are getting ready to apply. I have not seen a forum as yet for spring 2017. I would like to hear from people who are applying for spring 2017.
Congrats!!!! What a mistake to make with your score and GPA. Thankfully you were persistent and they caught the error.
Thanks TTLS yeah I literally had to sit with someone at one point and show my student copy of the hesi score that was not matching up with what someone had punched into the system..I wonder if someone got in with my score and science gpa with the mix up lol
Thanks pizzaism well the school is closed today due to veterans day so can't get any info today:/
I am sure the answer to this question is a big YES. However, my questions are: Do we need health insurance during the nursing program? And has anyone heard of anything concerning as yet?
I have wondered this too. I have heard of other schools requiring it but not sure about MDC. Maybe someone who is already in the program can answer this for us :)
Health Insurance was never a requirement for us, and it's interesting you ask that. I believe that if anything happens to you in clinicals, you file an incident report with the school and if you need medical attention, the school will pay for it since it occurred when you were studying with them.

I am very happy you got accepted! Please update us on what they tell you about an extension, since I may need one myself :/
