MDC Nursing spring 2014

U.S.A. Florida

Published

So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.

So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.

Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!

@candy2 i did the test on the ATI website!

Hi all. Im new to the site. I just applied for the spring full time generic program I took my TEAS on Friday. My science GPA is 4.0 and I got a 86.7 on the TEAS. I am fairly confident but still nervous with the waiting. I used an app for studying for the TEAS.. McGraw Hill has an app. It's 9.99 but well worth it.

You have a great TEAS score and obviously a perfect GPA. I am positive you will get into whichever program you chose.:)

@angied74 awesome GPA and great score!

I'm excited for us all. I can't wait until we start finding out whether we get in or not :o

I was talking to some peers and they suggested applying to multiple nursing programs if I wasn't sure I was getting into MDC (of course I'm not sure, I'm a mess!)

Is anyone applying to multiple nursing schools? And if so, which schools?

Anyone have any suggestions on the matter?

If you want to start now in Spring(Winter) 2014 you could apply to:

1. Broward College :

http://www.broward.edu/academics/programs/nursing/Pages/NursingFAQs.aspx

(The closest campus is in Pembroke Pines)-->Dont know how far that class is from you. The requirements are slightly different from MDC.

@cookiemonsterpower

Thank you so much!!! :))) I'll look into the schools and see which to apply to based on the prerequisites I have. I guess its good to not put all your eggs in one basket.

Is there anyone applying to the AO program that lives in Broward County?? If yes, how do you plan to transit to and from school? By the way, I live in broward.

I also applied for the AO program and am super anxious for October to come around.

I hope we all get in and have a successful 2014!

Anyone took the teas recently September is almost here.

I took the TEAS August 5th :)

I take mine tomorrow morning. Ive been studying from the ATI manual, McGraw-Hills practice test, ATI online practice assessment and I have been practicing 200 questions daily on tests.com. Fingers crossed, lots of prayer, and just hoping for the best.
