MDC Nursing spring 2014

Published

So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.

So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.

Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!

Yes, I applied to the accelerated and generic option. Just waiting patiently for an acceptance letter. How about you?

Welcome! Did you apply for the AO?

Yes, I applied to both generic and accelerated. How about you?

From reading these posts I see that they are now offering part time in the spring. Bummer when I applied they said the were not. Oh we'll fingers crossed I get full time generic.

@Jla and brittani I feel you guys!!! Anxiety here too and I forwarded my MDC e-mail to my phone and set it with a VIP alert :lol2: and I freak out (even though I know it can't possibly be THE e-mail) every time I hear it.

@BDA12NV Great series you are reading. I devoured the hunger games trilogy a few years ago. Divergent by Veronica Roth is also amazing if you feel ambitious. And yes it does feel like a very long Christmas Eve :nailbiting:

@ Jenesa

I actually took the MDC CPR class this past Saturday. I decided that if I get accepted it would be one last thing I have to rush and get done before Orientation.

Did you need a textbook for this course @AriesTwin

Does Anyone know if a textbook is required for the MDC CPR class???

No. The instructor provides you with all the information when you go to the class.

As for me I am anxiously waiting for October to get here. I have been having sleepless nights ever since I submitted my application. I have no desire for food or anything exciting at the current moment. Allnurses app has became my best friend. There are some many different forums to choose from i.e... school finding a job, good study habits, motivation and encouragement, and even comical nurse cartoons. I try to keep myself busy with my two boys and I've even started reading the Hunger Games series. I am just a nervous wreck. Have you ever wanted something so bad that you can practically touch it within a distance? Well that's me feeling like a child fighting to stay awake on Christmas Eve.[/quote']

I know the feeling!!!! I just keep trying not to think about it :/ I have 2 girls and they help keep me busy lol they are 5 and 2 so you can imagine they keep me on my toes lol. How old are your boys ? What program did you apply for? What was your. Overall score ? My was a 77 :/ not that great so I am realllly nervous.

@ Jenessa

Yeah I bought the book and it was useless. Never even took it out of the wrapper. $17 down the drain since I didn't get a chance to return it within 2 days.

@ Miri

I'm sure you will get it.It's almost best not to cross off the days and just keep busy. These next couple weeks will fly by and before you know it you will be receiving that email!!!!

My boys are 7 and 3. I'm a stay-at home mom, how about you? I applied to the full-time transitional program, I have my medical assistant license. I scored 58.7 in the teas and I have a 3.1 gpa. Although my chances maybe slim I figured I would apply anyway. What is success without taking risk. I think positive and have high hopes.
