MDC Nursing spring 2014

Published

So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.

So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.

Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!

Hey guys if my gpa is 3.46 and teas 74.7. What is my overall

Hello Elie. From what my fellow forum peeps have taught me, you multiply your teas score times 0.6, multiply your GPA by 10 and add those scores together to get your overall.

So to calculate your score... 74.7 x 0.6= 44.82, 3.46 x 10= 34.6, then you add both scores (44.82+34.6) to get an overall score of 79.42

Thank you miri 33. Its so low

I know what you mean! Hope to meet you soon :)

You're welcome elie. I hope to have you guys as classmates soon enough

My boys are 7 and 3. I'm a stay-at home mom how about you? I applied to the full-time transitional program, I have my medical assistant license. I scored 58.7 in the teas and I have a 3.1 gpa. Although my chances maybe slim I figured I would apply anyway. What is success without taking risk. I think positive and have high hopes.[/quote']

I am working part-time now I applied for the full-time program generic I have a 3.0 GPA and a 77 on the Teas. I Had applied for fall 2013 but didn't get called so I'm trying the more time for spring :( if it doesn't work out I have to try to find something else to do :/ success is definitely all about taking risks so I'm definitely hoping and praying that we all get in :D

Our scores are almost identical!

I've been at my current job for a very long time, so it was very difficult to follow my dreams and apply for this program!

Do you have any experience in the medical field?

Just continue to have faith, regardless what the outcome maybe just know there are plenty of other options and other schools to apply to. I was told by the advisor that if you are not accepted into the program this term you can reapply without having to pay the application fee again. I have considered other options but Miami Dade is the cheapest plus they offer the bridge program which can benefit me. South University was also an option but the distance is a bit much. Not to mention their BSN tuition went up to 90k a year :-p that sucks. Dade Medical and Chamberlain are about 60k for ASN and Concorde 22k.

That's super expensive for an ADN. For that I go to UM or Remington that's $40K for the ABSN program. But you're right, there are options for is :)

We are almost done with September!!! Sooo close I could taste it!!!! woot woot!!!! :roflmao:
