So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.
So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.
Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!
Did anyone know the cup off for spring 2014?
Well, if you mean the application deadline then it was early Sept. If you mean when we should be receiving e-mails, AriesTwin was told that would be late Oct. to early Nov. I was looking at posts from previous years and it seems they began getting acceptance e-mails around mid-Oct. Hopefully the week of Oct. 14th will bring as all good news .
I think the overall gpa depends on the application pool. I have seen someone on the allnurses forum get in with a 64. Per advisors and nursing students you have a better shot in the spring vs the fall. And you may have some people who start considering other schools as backup so seats are being deferred and declined. Keep your spirits up and search through allnurses forums they are tons of stories and advice to help put your mind at ease.
hello everyone, i am new to this stuff. I didnt know forums like this existed. it would have been helpful to find this before the whole application process because i was so lost!!!
okay so i also applied for the Spring 2014 Nursing program at miami dade. My GPA has always been good so i think for the sciences i should be at a 3.5 if not higher. (although other people have perfect gpa, i think mine is also okay!)
however my teas test was horrible!!! i got a score in the 60's
i dont know what happen that day i think i just panicked and couldnt do the exam correctly. since i took it in august there was no option to do another one so i ad no choice but to apply with that score.
i am HOPING & PRAYING that i get accepted.
So i guess im waiting for a letter too? here is my questions, if anyone could help me. Do people only get acceptance letters or is there denial letters too?
Also, how do we get the response? through mail or email??
and last but not least about how much is the program really? i have been hearing all types of prices and would just like to know an estimate because i dont receive financial aid or anything like that.
You applied for Fall 2013?
This is my first time applying. I applied for Spring bridge full-time 2014. But I have been monitoring the allnurses MDC forum since 2011, I finished all my pre-reg in the summer of 2012 and was able to graduate with my A.A. in Pre-Nursing. I even monitor most of BCC threads as my plan B.
I have spoken to a one staff member in the nursing department the told me its hard to give an accuarte answer about the Spring 2014 applicants because they have yet to pick any students. But in the previous years there were scores in the high 60's, then there were some who scored low 70's on the TEAS and were accepted on the first round. So it all depends.
