I am also applying for FIU-- I was accepted last year to MDC but for financial and personal reasons could not attend. :'( Who else will be applying to Generic FT? Please state what program you will be applying to!
I will be taking the TEAS sometime in March, in which I will also be taking the HESI A2 for FIU. So I might as well be studying for both, lol. Anybody taken the TEAS at MDC? Share your experiences here! :) I will be using a general book for nursing school entrance exams... it's by Barron... and I will be studying my math from a nursing calculation book, and my sciences from my anatomy, biology, and other notes. Is it true there is geology on the exam? How irrelevant... lol
I selected and paid for the tests through econoLABS online first. Then I went to the LabCorp site to schedule an appointment. One thing to watch out for is that econoLABS recommends whatever lab facility is closest to you. But I found out later, that the LabCorp site near my apartment doesn't do the drug testing. The search engine on the LabCorp site will tell you which offices do the drug tests.
Thank you so much! They have the rubella titer I need to get for only $39 and that Dr from the Miami-Dade "free" clinic said the lab cost for it was $160. What a fraud!

Quick question to if anyone can answer PLEASE?! Since you all are so informed and I notices some of you had problems with transcripts! I'm planning to apply for the Full Time Generic Option for the 2012 FALL term but I finish all my pre-reqs in the Spring Term. Would I be able to make it before the deadline? My classes would all be done and I'm imaginig they would have full access to my transcripts?! Answer anyone?! Pleaseeee :) thank you!

So I had transcript problems only because I submitted it while finishing one class(which was not a pre req) so the policy of the school is they will not evaluate a transcript if it is incomplete. If the deadline for next fall is May 1st again and all of your classes are complete by the time you send a transcript, it shouldn't be a problem. However, in order to make the deadline, you have to send a transcript far in advance as possible, so if you will still be finishing by say, early April, I'd say talk to one of the directors.

Hi there :) I think you should consider taking a mini term (if available) in the Spring to be able to have the classes finished before you submit your application. I was going to apply to the last Spring term until they changed the requirement to having to be finished with the pre-req's. I wasn't allowed to apply while still being enrolled in a pre-req. That is the whole reason that I had to wait for the Fall 2011 application(which is much more competitive, unfortunately). It isn't the greatest news but I figure you have enough time to get your schedule just right to be able to have the classes completely done before the May 1st deadline.

I had the same problem. I am enrolled in my last pre-requisites which I finish on July 29. However, I have to apply for the spring 12 program since we need all the pre requisites done in order to apply.
