MCC nursing applicants for 2015

Published

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.

Thank you, you are so sweet!

Hi. Does anyone know if you rank in the top 25 - if they still let you choose what semester you'd like to start? And, if so, does the letter you receive when you get admitted tell you where you ranked and that you can choose your start date? Thanks! :)

You get too choose when you start as long as it's later than when you ranked to start. If you ranked to start in August you can choose to start later, but if you ranked to start in March you couldn't choose to start earlier. If that makes sense.

Also the acceptance letter does not say when you will be starting. You can however ask when you pay your security deposit for your ranking which will give you an idea.

In the orientation in May you should be told to email the secretary about when you would want to start. They will honor your request if it is later than you are ranked to start.

makes sense - thanks!

What is your gpa/hesi cominupdaisies? :)

3.92 GPA and 86 Hesi. Not really sure where I'll rank with that Hesi score. Just a few more weeks everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah

Oh and Happy April :)

Oh shoot I just realized you weren't talking to me @mperczi ...... haha sorry

Any tips on how to study for a&p I feel like the book doesn't help much, & the how was the grammar portion of the test?

Well your in I know that much ;)

For anyone who is already in the program, how highly would you recommend taking a math class and chemistry before you start the program? I've heard from some people that you would really benefit from it if you've already taken these classes before you start. Just wanted to get some opinions!
