MCC nursing applicants for 2015

Hello everyone!

I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.:up:

If anybody out there uses loans for classes any reccomedations

on you mymacomb go to financial aid tab and click on financial aid forms and the loan one is in there somwhere, it took me a bit to find it. You can apply anytime think it takes about 10-14 days for a decision. Good luck:)

@DeannaThomas, I signed up for Financial Aid and I'm getting a Federal Direct Subsidized Loan. I'm still not entirely sure how everything works. It's my first time getting a loan, so I'm still figuring it all out as I go.

Hey guys thank you for the . Info but i cant use my aid until january so i had to pay cash for my classes this semester...otd anybody else registered to take the hesi i have a jan 8 date anf also this yr its a plato study tool to use for the hesi when u go sign up in the learning center they ask u if u want to use it anybody use it so far

Hey Deanna, I am taking it Dec. 22nd. I got the info for the plato study help as well. I am waiting until this insane summer class is over before I start studying. I'm really struggling right now because I have a high B in this A&P class now and I feel like that's what I might finish with. I will be so upset if that's what happens :(

I registered for it in the Fall semester, but now I'm wondering if I should try and take it on again while doing my other pre-reqs. I even stalked the old boards to see if anyone got in with a B in A&P and it's hard to tell. I could seriously cry. I've worked very hard in this class, but 6 weeks is such a short amount of time if you have any kind of other obligations!

@GiveMeTheCoffee, I just finished Unit 3 today. I am keeping my A, but that was the hardest unit. This last unit is the easiest though. You should be able to boost up your B to an A-! You're right about the 6 weeks, it's insane. I'm ready to be done. I just hope I finish with an A. That would make it all worth it.

If I'm taking A&P at center campus and want to get a head start on studying, what system do you guys think I should start on?

@sarahjeanleach, use this website 1biology.50megs.com/bio271.htm . It's strictly for Macomb A&P. It helps me so much with everything. Look at all the models, quiz yourself. Do all the practice exams. I use this website all the time and I'm getting a 97% in the class. It helps that I have taken it before, but this site has helped me the most.
