Hello Everyone!
I'm starting a thread so applicants for the Mayo Clinic AZ nurse residency program for July 2019 can communicate about the process. After reading other threads, it seems like a really good way to stay connected and ask question! Well applications just closed so let's see how this goes!

Were you able to apply to Dignity Health already? I haven't seen any openings there and when I called HR they told me their new grad app didn't open until May?
No I haven't applied to dignity. I talked to my friend who works there and got into the new graduate program and she just told me to keep looking for their posting. I guess we have to keep our eye out around may! Thanks for the heads up!

It was a general interview and you rank your preferences upon arrival, but she kind of caught me off guard because I put critical care as my number one and she told me I wasn’t eligible since I didn’t have preceptorship experience in ICU. So I had to re rank everything. They were very nice but I was SO nervous! They said we should hear the first or 2nd week of May, and that interviewed will be done by end of April. Let me know how your interviews went!!!!
Hi there!
May I ask where the Mayo interview was located at specifically? I have an interview scheduled this week but the admin on the phone said it was in another building and I was very confused. I wanted to make sure I don't end up in the wrong place!
Thanks!
I just read tips on how to interview with MAYO. To answer scenario questions they like to follow DETAIL but I didn't write down verbatim under those mnemonic. They want to see:
Diagnosis
Interventions
Intended outcomes
Delegate
They want to know the thought process, how do you assess them? how you intervene
Interviews at the Mayo Clinic have a two-fold purpose, according to the organization. They seek to give candidates the opportunity to learn more about the position and the organization. They also give candidates and management team members the opportunity to assess whether or not they’re a good fit for one another.
Panel interviews are very common at Mayo Clinic. During these interviews, behavior-based questions are used and the SHARE model is preferred for responses.
S – Interviewers ask candidates to describe a particular situation.
H – Interviewers want you to identify challenges and hindrances you encountered.
A – Explain your actions.
R – Examine the results.
E – Evaluate the lesson learned.
The recruiter sent me this link on how to prepare for the Mayo interview:
