Mayo Clinic RN new graduate residency July 2019

Hello Everyone!

I'm starting a thread so applicants for the Mayo Clinic AZ nurse residency program for July 2019 can communicate about the process. After reading other threads, it seems like a really good way to stay connected and ask question! Well applications just closed so let's see how this goes!

This may be a silly question but they are anticipating that people may not have graduated yet or taken the nclex, do you agree? I would suspect that their target applicant has an April or May graduation.

Thanks for starting the thread! I have been looking for a Mayo thread. I have applied to the Mayo in MN and recently in AZ. My apps in MN still says under review for the past couple of months! I contacted the recruiter but did not get a reply. i'm from out of state and i doubt i will be selected, i had the feeling from reading posts comparing AZ and MN that they're a little bit more selective.

Have you done any clinicals with mayo? Which one seems more selective?

hey guys! I had been looking forward to applying for over a year to this program. I'm worried I am not going to get it haha. I go to school in KS but am relocating in Phoenix after graduation.

I believe the Arizona residency is a little more selective because it is smaller than the Rochester one. Thanks for starting the thread!

You got application in right? I'm super nervous too! I really want to work here.

I'm from Colorado. Applying to both locations. I got an email this morning that my app for the AZ has been forwarded to the manager. My app with MN has been forwarded to manager since March 4th but the Rochester's position does not have a specific cohort.

Yes, I applied the 27th. This is my #1 choice! I am just worried that with being out of state and never being a nurse tech or CNA or anything they might not think I'm qualified or something. Are you from AZ or MN?

Yeah my application got forwarded to the hiring manager this morning as well. Have any of you had a clinical or anything with mayo?

Also I am from Arizona. I didnt apply for MN

Have you applied anywhere else in Arizona? I also applied to Banner, I just haven’t been to any hospitals being out of state!

Yeah I applied to banner. Honorhealth and dignity are also really great hospitals in az to apply to
