World International

Published

The US Consulate in Mumbai published partial data on their advance copy of the May VB.

The Dept. of State will publish the whole thing on their website later on or tomorrow.

EB3 most other countries is March, 2006. EB3 India is Nov. 2001.

Quick question. I've been looking at the previous Visa Bulletins. On July 2007, priority date for EB3 for the Philippines was Current then became Unavailable for August 2007 then moved back to August 2002 for the Sept 2007 Visa Bulletin. What exactly happened for the 1 month that EB3 priority date was current? What priority dates were being processed? For example if the PD was say, January 2003, what's the status if his PD was current for a month then became unavailable for the next month?

July 07 had a blip and due to this blip over 800,000 applications for AOS was filed. I take it with a PD of 2003 they was working in the US then their lawyer should had sent in application. Much has been written on what happened for that month if you have a search I am sure you will find it

Lawrence, this is very encouraging news. Could you please let us know where we can find this info? I thought the latest bulletin was saying they are processing only up to March 1st 2006?

Thanks :)

This is base on people whose files are still in NVC that have their status changed from "not eligible for further processing because there is no visa available" to being eligible again and are being sent letters of instructions either directly to them or to their lawyers for requests for any updates on the Ds-230 forms and any expired supporting docs. Many are just starting to get the official letters now. You can read this on our NVC-GC-CP tracker thread.

NVC has to do this in advance before the actual VB. By the way it has been going, the next VB may say a cut-off date of at least Jan. 1, 2007 for EB3 ROW and EB3 PH, depending on up to where NVC was able to reach processing files after the 1st week of every Month.

" letina " here is a good example from what Lawrence is trying to explain to you here is my case..... I got a message via AVR from NVC "not eligible for further processing because there is no visa available" to We are waiting for the form DS-230 (Application for Immigrant Visa).

The applicant must complete this form and send it to this office so

that

we may continue processing this file.

my PD is OCT. 2006

I have a question. I am getting confused now. My priority date( date of reciept of my I140) is October 2007. Does that mean that when the visa bulletin become current for that period, i can go ahead and file for my greencard or do i still have to wait for the EB3 category to be current. please someone clarify this for me. Thanks

It all depends on if your file / case is "complete"

Not sure what you mean by "go ahead and file for your green card".....but if you have a completed file and been forwarded to the Consulate, you should get an appointment for interview when the VB shows your PD as current.

I'm assuming you are doing CP?

It should be AOS as far as I read..

Closing this thread since is has already gone off-tack from it's intended topic and there will be a new Visa Bulletin as well soon.
