May Nclex takers...come and join hands...

Published

apparently, ive been waiting for other people to start a support group for may nclex takers.....but no....so here i am.....

im taking my nclex on the 7th of may...hopefully, i pass this time. im tired of living a non-RN life......

ok.. I just got home... here is my run down

75 questions... finished in 49 minutes ( I was always a really fast test taker)

11 or so SATA

a TON of priority, delegation and assignment

2 drug calc

1 ecg strip

1 put the x in the right spot

about 6 or 7 drug questions

Most of my test was sata and priority. I only had like 3 or 4 that were "easy, know off the top of your head without really thinking about it" questions.

Now i wait!

good luck with your results revere... :)

hi jon, your battle's not yet over till you get your notice from the board, i know its easier said than done but try to relax now...malenurses still rock

jax grl, newgraduate, revere308 and the rest who took the test, we're waiting with you..let's keep on praying...:wshgrt:

Jon ~

Give yourself a break! I know exactly how you feel! All weekend before I got my results I was bawling and telling my husband how sorry I was that I kept wasting out money to take this damn test ($275 q time), and I filled out my petition to the state board to re-test. Low and behold, when I got my results, I had passed. Maybe I warded off evil spirits by filling out all of my paperwork and such. Don't send in anything until you're sure yet! Hang in there!

Good Luck to Jax Grl, Newgraduate07, and revere (and you too, Jon, of course)! Hope you all passed with flying colors! I've been praying for you all!! Will be happy to see RN attached to ALL OF YOUR names!! Best of Luck!!

jon..hehe..kinda like the name for the day eh? we know it's hard for the dreadful days..and we don't know exactly how you feel right now. but try to stop thinking about the test, analyzing the questions you had. don't torture yourself and put pressure more and more, since the results are not in yet. but still, it's good to vent out your feelings. :) make your day as good as possible. talk with your wife and kids. :redbeathe

I tested on the 29th, and was POSITIVE i had failed.. when it shut down at 75, I thought where was EVERYTHING I had studied.... then my fellow student got her RN posted on the 1st... not me...... I had to wait a week, positive I had failed, and in tears so many times..... but RELAX.... the test is over, Silverdragon and all were right, it didnt matter that she got posted earlier as WE BOTH HAD PASSED... just took my person, whoever that is, much longer to post it...... but i PASSED, not matter how hard I was on myself, and how stressfull that week was, I PASSED....... it was dreadful.... Im hanging in there with you Jon, and others..... relax, there is no way to change it, it is just the waiting game.... I passed, so you can ALL pass..... just give it some time, and quit agonizing over questions...... Silverdragon was right....... no way does it matter in what order your name is alphabetically, nor how good you did... it is all up to the person posting..... alaska doesnt participate in pearson vues early results either so I simply HAD TO WAIT..... and one gal up here waited over 2 weeks...... i thought my one week was bad enough...... HANG IN THERE>........ it is BEHIND you for now......

I do understand how frustrating the exam is. The first time I took the exam I walked out of the test center in tears and just knew I had failed. It wasn't until I sat the exam thrid time did I pass and even then I was convinced they had it wrong. The one thing I was glad about was waiting between the resits and taking a short break from studying before starting over again. It wasn't until I failed the 2nd time that I found NCLEX by Saunders and really liked it and felt I understood the questions and rationale better. Saying that not everyone likes Saunders but same can be said for Kaplan, Learningtext etc. We all have our own ways on study, that is what makes us human, but remember with determination we can make it just may take longer than we would like as long as we study in the way that is suited to ourselves.

As always I wish anyone taking this exam all the best

yea! i got my license in the mail today!! i cried!
