May Nclex takers...come and join hands...

Published

apparently, ive been waiting for other people to start a support group for may nclex takers.....but no....so here i am.....

im taking my nclex on the 7th of may...hopefully, i pass this time. im tired of living a non-RN life......

hey jon!

we will make it. just keep the faith. like you said, once this is over, we'll look back and laugh. i have faith that u passed. honestly, by how youve updated us on how you reviewed and answered that test, makes me view you as an RN already.

thanks for keeping me strong and positive about this test. :)

thanks to all for your prayers..... :)

p.s. jon, so its sat that the results will show on the ca brn site huh?

well in my "expert" opinion and , i have spent many a hours computing this.

The CA BRN is always a day behind.

soooo sat will be for friday and monday doesnt count because they go into work that day soo tues is monday

so in a nutshell they update 0530 tues-sat

since we are repeat test takers, they have processed our transcripts etc..in other words they know who we are.

so with that being said.

the earliest would be 3 days which is (for me and you) sat morning --the earliest)

the latest would be 10 busienss days ....honostly if we dont see our names by..oh..lets say weds/thurs next week--were done.

so, i just came back from blockbuster.. rented like 8 movies and bought grand theft auto 4..i want to pass time away and clear my mind of everything...and plus i deseverve a week downtime..im not even gonna check for my name until tues morning-im going to resist until then.

again, good luck to all you testing soon !!!!

hahaha! ok. honestly they were all drug/stock x quantity. when i was reading the q's they wanted me to convert mg/milliunits to mcg/microunits.....i couldnt remember how many micrograms there were in 1 gram but i did remember 1mg = 1000mcg. so there. all was revolving that type...had to convert first.

i had a lot of prioritization and drugs that i never heard or did hear but had no idea about it. most of my sata's were asking for the expected side effects of the drugs i had no idea of. i dont remember if i had any delegation though. is that a bad sign? i had lots of medsurg and like 1 for maternity.

by the way, im staying positive about it. the last 2 times i took my test, i knew right there and then that i failed. but this time i think i might have made it. im staying positive but im all not putting all my hopes up. we never know what might show in the results.

anyway, has anyone of you guys heard of neupogen? i honestly do not know what drug that is. and isnt evista a sleeping drug? i really dont know......

neupogen to increase wbc's. likewise with epogen, for rbc's. while for evista (i thought it's elavil! tee hee, we might have the same reaction to do that!:banghead:) it's for treatment as well as to prevent osteoporosis (for postmenopausal). elavil is for depression (if you've watched jlo's movie 'wedding planner' it comes for her in handy :) that's how i remembered it!)

hope this one helps..my :twocents:..

goodluck to jon and jax.hey jon, grand theft auto is a nice game.my brother is starting to play that game.hehe.maybe i'll schedule my exam next week.

Best of luck to all of you who are taking the exam, and for those of you who have taken and and are fretting over what questions you got ~ try to relax! LOL, I can say that now that I'm done and have recieved my results! My test ended with approx 10 SATA and about 5 dosage calc, and again, not sure how many questions, just less than 200 (I believe). MY last question was over therapeutic communication. SERIOUSLY. I SWORE I had to have failed if that was the question it ended on, but alas, to no avail - I passed! So try to do something to keep yourself busy while waiting for your results!! Happy Nurses Week!

...So, couldnt sleep last night, kept thinking about my test and the more i thought about it. I really dont think i passed. I reviewed some posts on here and someone linked or stated how the process works if you run out of time and to paraphrase, he said that the last 60 quesstions that they grade on, HAVE to be ALL above the passing line. Now , i got several SATA and lots of priority questions in the last 60 i know i got alot of them right, but i know that i missed quite a few "easier" questions (not higher priority). but i eventually came back "up" to the SATA questions, so i most likely "dipped" under the line and came back up, i felt i finished at above level , (like i said mylast few questions were SATA and priority) but according to what this guy said, not ALL my last 60 questions were above the passing line.

im mailing my re-app today (as i have done the past 2 times--the day after i tested both times)..so i can test ASAP

..i guess i will be joining the JUNE support group.

sure , im bummed out but someone said in here to me hat each time , i keep getting "closer"

eventually, i will pass this test.-I dont know what i can do differently next time, i studied my butt off. I knew my stuff, it just has to be major test anxiety--

Oh well,--You all have been great !, i wish the best for you on your tests and in your carrers.--i hope the june group are as supportive as you guys.

Jon,

Give yourself some time and wait for the results before posting inanother application form. You really need to give yourself a rest before studying again if that is what you have to do. Seriously consider doing Suzanne's plan
