Welcome again people, In the month of May, we are going to overcome the NCLEX. This thread is to share study tips, encouragement, motivation and anything that will help us to succeed the exam. Let's study hard and believe. I am currently using Saunders for content, LaCharity and Kaplan strategies. search engine (priortization questions on nclex) click on free nclex review, rev quizzes, exams, questions, and resources...click on the study guide zone (4) areas should come up in each area there is 20 questions designed just like nclex...some of the links on the main website may be down however, u should be able to go to the study guide zone for sure and take theses test and the answers will be below.....IT IS IMPORTANT THAT U GET INTO THE MODE OF ANSWERING THESES TYPE QUESTIONS.....ONCE U GOT IT YOU WILL BE FINE W/TAKING THE NCLEX EXAMINATION...DONT THINK INTO THE QUESTION. USE WHAT U HAVE AVAILBLE, AND IF IT DOESNT APPLY TO WHAT THEIR ASKING RULE IT OUT!!!! TRY IT AND TELL ME WHAT U THINK

I am jst new to this site and I just want to ask some tips on how to pass the nclex exam. I took mine last 2006 and I failed, never had the courage to take it again since then...Right now I am working in a call center (been out of the nursing field for 6 years) and I am planning to pursue my nursing career now and I got to admit that i feel scared and depressed as ever. I want to enroll in a review center but I am so lost and I have no idea where to enroll. I am also waiting for my ny credential verification until now , i applied for it last May 2010 and I am also wondering why it still says in my account that its waiting for approval(
I have read some posts on the site about people who decided to take their boards long after graduation, taking a refresher course. I guess if you google and do some research you could find one that suits you. A refresher course IMO will be a good place to start. You can then use other review books as back up

Then I suggest you check with CGFNS that they moved your file to NY BON and check with NY BON they received it. Average time with CVS is 6-8 months and then a couple of months for NY BON to review
i thought that when i apply for the ny verification .. they will be the one to process everything and I will just need to wait for their approval, right?

You have to apply to both CGFNS for them to do the CVS and NY BON because they will receive all the stuff from CGFNS and make their own determination on whether you can sit NCLEX or not
omg..im not sure now if i did processed it correctly..I processed it last yr when i was in the US and as I remmber I applied with cgfns and followed all their instructions there. so now, all im doing is checking cgfns.org from time to time..its just says:

If you haven't submitted an application to NY BON then they will not action your CVS and if eligible the OK to sit NCLEX. Suggest you check with NY BON you have submitted an application and if not submit one as instructed on their website
gonna take my board exam on may 18th...so nervous cause this is the second time um gonna take this exam!!i dont know yet if im prepared...
you will never feel like your ready i dont care how much u study..The first thing it takes is to know and have that attitude "I can pass". This is where it starts is with u first. Take your time. Dont think into the question, go with your first instinct, and dont change your answer,,,, trust yourself Most importantly GOD....Good Luck..Think B.I.G. (Believe In God) I know u will pass
