Welcome again people, In the month of May, we are going to overcome the NCLEX. This thread is to share study tips, encouragement, motivation and anything that will help us to succeed the exam. Let's study hard and believe. I am currently using Saunders for content, LaCharity and Kaplan strategies. Please feel free to share your advice, study tips, etc. Good Luck everyone, the month of May is our month and we will Pass!!!
My exam is on the 10th of May. I pray that we all make it. I don't think I can take this anymore! I am sooooo tired of studying. I'm working at a bridal store and absolutely hate it. I didnt even work in retail when I was in University.Soooo depressing. I keep praying and fasting and GOD knows I cant take this much longer. I don't want to give up especially as I have worked as a RN in the UK already and love nursing. I keep praying for strength .

I have less than 10 chapters to finish in Saunders but I know it does not end there. I still have to answer lots of questions and memorize lab values, pharm and infection control; It is WELL
I am in exactly the same place you are. It will be my first time and I am so overwhelmed by the sample drug question I've been getting on the NCLEX 3500. Am doing flash cards.
But do we really have to know suggested doses for drugs? And I've been getting so many rare drugs I've never heard of. I'm just floating in a sea of drugs and I am so confused! All the side effects and adverse reactions are mixing together!
I'm taking Kaplan Review- Classroom. So far, it's really good. the questions are hard. I'm reading the content book. What can you all say about the content they give? is it sufficient already?
applereyes I totally understand how you feel about pharm... I am using the saunders pharmacological strategies for review. I read the pharmacology from the saunders comp. review. I am going to start answering questions on pharm and then going back to review again from the book.
healthcarestudent Do not get the Kaplan 300 flashcard guide! It's missing a lot of medications and precautions. Better to just test and write down the ones you get wrong or are unfamiliar with. Am taking it in 3 days.
Any suggestions as to what to study last? Should I just keep testing at this point? Am using HESI, NCLEX3500 and Saunders 4th ed. I feel like it will never end!!

Same here I rescheduled my test to May 10 because I had to get a root canal. Best of luck to each and everyone one of us. I did fast like 4 days prior to my original test date (April 27th) while fasting I read these bible verses through out the day until the time I was fasting to which was like 3 p.m. I woke up at 6 and fast until 3 p.m. The bible verses were Psalm 121, 25, 31, philipians 4:13, james 1
also from Bryan RN: he shared Jeremiah 29:11.
I have a few others from my family: Romans 5:3-4, 2 Chronicles 15:7, Proverbs 16:9
=) We can do this. This will be my second time around. Please pray for me and I will also pray for everyone.
btw, im just new here in this site. i must say, this site is very helpful for nurses and future nurses for studies and they're career.
