So we all should have heard weeks ago about our placement now I wanted to start a place for the preparation for Block 1.
I know Fall semester still needs to start and end before we can even get to block 1, but hey I'm to excited.
How is everyone doing getting situated for the universitys?
When is everyone thinking about starting the stuff that needs to be done for Maricopa (I.e. medical papers, titer tests, CPR)?
THANK YOU! I finally talked to Deon this afternoon and she gave me the info. But I have one question -- what is the "Extensive Review Pass Page"? Is that the Student Health and Safety Documentation Checklist?? That's the only thing I can think of.Edited: Never mind -- that must be the PASSED background check pdf??
Yes, it is the "PASSED" background check PDF. Print it and bring it to orientation!
You are all so great at answering questions I thought I'd throw this one out:
Got my book bundle and have registered the Elsevier stuff, but have two things I'm not sure about...
1. Adaptive Quizzing for Med-Surg, Pharm & Fundamentals of Nursing all say they need a course code -- do we get that from the school?
2. The Med-Surg book has a code on the first inside page but it seems like I've already got the resources from the main Elsevier Access Card code. Anyone find a place to put that code in?
**This is for Gateway
Question how many of you are actually reading every single word in the chapters assigned? How are you guys reading the chapters? Are you skimming the book? Or focusing only on volume 2 book? Any feedback on how you guys are reading these nursing books thanks
You have the time now to read the majority of each chapter. Do that and keep doing that till you get an idea of what works for you and what is needed for reading. I read the objectives, skim over those points, wrote out notes. Read the power points, listen to the voice overs, take notes on the power points and then re read anything I'm unclear of. About 8 hours just doing that. Plus vol. 2, and fundamental NCLEX stuff.
Need anymore help let me know.
I read every word for a while then I changed it to focusing on the bold and the things in the boxes and the stuff that seems important. Been highlighting and writing it all down. The power points I write down important stuff too. The voiceovers? Do you mean the sound on the PowerPoint? For the fundamental nclex stuff what are you doing for that? You mean out of a nclex book? Or what are you referring to? Thanks for your help much appreciated
