Maricopa Comm College CEP Fall 2017 Applicants

Looking to see if there are any other Maricopa Comm College CEP applicants out there yet for Fall 2017 start (summer 2017 at the university). I put in my application Nov 7th & was told it would be a "couple" weeks until I was notified by email if & what schools I get accepted to. Anyone else out there...yet?

I haven't heard anything from GCC or Univeristy, kind of assuming I may not of been placed. Staying hopeful!

I was placed into GWCC/ASU evening cohort. I live in downtown phoenix if anyone ever wants to form a study group! :D

Yes don't lose all hope yet! While I have heard from Glendale/NAU, they have asked us to send back a signed intent. Those that do not intend to attend or are choosing to defer will have their space filled. Those letters are not due back until March 7th.

Best of luck – I know waiting can be difficult.

I heard from CGCC/NAU the day everyone received acceptance emails. I think they are now waiting on who accepts and denies the offer.

Quick question - do you have to have your CPR/ALS certificate in order to apply, or is it just required before you start classes?

I believe you need to have it prior to start to entering the nursing program, but you can still apply.

Hello,

You do not need the ALS (advanced life support) for the program. You do need your BLS (basic life support) although you do not need it done to apply. I have mine done because I thought I needed it early on in the process. A year later and I am about to need it so I would recommend waiting to take the course so you do not need to renew it half way through the program.

- After orientation i'll let you know when exactly you need it by but at a minimum it is a month or two after acceptance.

I still haven't' received anything from CGCC on acceptance for the CEP. Should I assume I wasn't accepted?? I applied back on November 4th and ASU had already accepted me (of course waiting on community college) :-((((

I'm in the same boat, I haven't heard anything. I didn't even get anything back from the university. I know we were suppose to hear back by today march 20.

Yeah, by March 20th it said all CEP applicants would know their status. I even emailed them and called and left a message, but haven't heard anything back.. :-(( I'm pretty bummed....
