Maricopa Comm College CEP Fall 2017 Applicants

Published

Looking to see if there are any other Maricopa Comm College CEP applicants out there yet for Fall 2017 start (summer 2017 at the university). I put in my application Nov 7th & was told it would be a "couple" weeks until I was notified by email if & what schools I get accepted to. Anyone else out there...yet?

Got a call from & met with the Ottawa advisor. They have all but officially accepted my CEP application, they said they are just awaiting my official placement at a Maricopa CC school before they can formally accept me into their BSN program. How is everyone else fairing, have your final grades posted just yet, been able to submit your application?

I submitted my CEP application a couple days ago! My advisor told me the committee who decides won't even look at the applications until after January 31st, and that I should know if I got in by the end of February. Fingers crossed!!

Awesome! Quick question - so the last thing I need to do is take the hesi, which I plan to do when GWCC opens the first week of January. Do you know if I am able to submit my CEP application the same day as I submit my general nursing app? Or do I first need to wait to receive a timestamp?

I am honestly not sure about that. Do you have all of your Maricopa pre-reqs and University pre-reqs completed? Different Universities have different requirements for when you can apply for the CEP. I know for NAU you can have 3 classes in progress before you apply, but I think it varies for the other schools.

I just emailed the advisor today and they said I can submit both on the same day as long as my pre-reqs are completed. I have everything finished, just the Hesi.

Thanks!

That's great! Good luck! :)

I asked when they would expect to have some applicants notified about acceptance. The advisor said during the last enrollment, they didn't finish all applicants until about March. I'm picked Ottawa, NAU, or FPU as university options.

Yikes, I hope that is not the case for us too. Let's hope they'll do it quickly this year.

Hi Everyone -

Just out of interest, what swayed your decision on which University to select?

For me cost, concurrent graduation time frame was what influenced me the most. I have a B.S. from one of them which wasn't the best experience personally so I scratched that off the list. Another big influence for me was theit participation in a financial aid consortium.

I hope this helps. I'm curious of other as well!

My CEP application was submitted today and now on to the last period of waiting!

Hi there! I submitted my CEP application in December for ASU with either MCC or CGCC. I met with an advisor at MCC who mentioned that if I haven't heard anything by March 1st to contact here directly. She also mentioned that they weren't able to place all CEP applicants previously, so here's hoping we all get in for Summer/Fall 2017!

That's exciting! Where did you turn in your application?

I have narrowed my choice of University down to 2. I did also have NAU on the list, but their list of additional pre-reqs put me off. I'm choosing between Ottawa and UIU. I also excluded the two Uni's that aren't part of the financial aid consortium, and ASU just seemed too pricy to me.

I start my final 3 pre-reqs in March...I'm taking all 3 at once to get them done in time to submit my application for the May 31st deadline.

Does anyone know if I submit May 31st what is the earliest start date I could expect (if I got accepted)?
