haloo everyone! thanks for d thread... I already received an approval letter from Continental Testing Service (CTS) for NCLEX application for the state of Illinois. I'm planning take the nclex on march. I've registered with Pearson last week, January 25. How long will I wait for my ATT?

pearsonvue will not send ATT until they receive confirmation from BON, some foreign nurses in the International forum posted they waited over a week or a bit longer before they received their ATT it all varies depending on the BON and how quick they tell pearsonvue.

morning guys~ i have a little vent this morning. i have not been feeling motivated to study for the past few days. my mind and energy is focused on receiving my ATT and my temporary license. I am suppossed to start my new position Feb 11, but I need my temp by feb6 in order to start then. I sent away for it weeks ago but the BON wouldnt make me eligeble until my school sent in record of completion. I knew m school wouldnt approve us to take boards until our review was over, but i didnt know they did the same for our temp.

my info just went to the BON this past friday. i paid pearson almost two weeks ago. I just wish i would recieve one or the other. i prefer to take boards before i start, but my chances are slim.

i am sorry for typing a "downer" post. but, i woke up this morning not feeling motivated and frustrated about recieving my ATT and GN. you guys are the only ones who truly understand what it is like.......

I totally know how you feel. I've spent the last week trying to get ahold of the Maryland BON regarding my background check. When I was 19, I got citation for drinking under the age of 21. Even though, this is not a major offense, my background check is being held up while they review it. I've woken up almost every night in the past week with cold sweats and nightmares about being denied a license. And of course, I cannot get any information from my BON. After awhile it just drains your energy. But keep your chin up! Hopefully you and I can get through this and end up on the other side with our licenses!

guess what guys????? my att was waiting for me in my inbox. i could test tommorow if i wanted. i cant beleieve that i can finnaly schedule my exam!!!!!!!

i think i may schedule it sometime next week, or in another 2 weeks. i dunno. i start work feb 11 and would love to have my license when i start. i still have 500questions in kaplans qbank and question trainers 5,6,7 left. i think i will give myself to finish those before i test, even though i know i am ready.

i wanted my att so bad, now that i have it i am scared to schedule. lol

ok, i was a little wrong. i didnt know i had to click on the calender day to see the appt. the earliest i can test is feb19 at 8am. i really didnt want to test so early in the am, but the thats all that was open until March 7, there was a 10am appt. i will be checking pearsons website like crazy to see if i can get an earlier date!!!

its all surreal guys... i will be testing in exactly 3 weeks!!! I just did a 30question test from kaplan's qbank. I scored 67% that seems to be my norm. I am trying to construct a review/study guide. i feel like i am ready but I want to make sure i cover everything. i know i need to review my anatomy and procedures for common task. I also still have 3 question trainers to complete and I have a 345 questions left in my qbank. I also have saunders and lippincott cds if i feel the need to do more questions.

ok, i know i am rambling. i am going to do more questions, then I am off to bed:)

I'm feeling extremely distressed. My friends are all pushing me to send in my paperwork in order to get my ATT. However, I don't have the money to pay for the application fee. I feel terrible asking my mom for more money. I already paid for my application and I have a year to get my ATT and take the NCLEX. I'm feeling stressed out and I feel sooo much pressure from everywhere. I just started my job as a GN, but they won't let me be with a registered nurse until I get my ATT; so I'll be a PCT (or a nurse's assistant) until I get those papers. I'm not quite sure how long they take to get here, but I really need to get paid before I send in the application. I have nooo money. :sniff: Also, I'm holding out because I'm waiting for Suzanne's plan, and I want to be able to devote the time it needs in order for me to be successful. But, I'm just wondering now if I'm doing things the wrong way, not fast enough, in the wrong order, at the wrong time...I just don't know. :crying2:

sounds to me like you have a plan! there is no right or wrong oreder for ding things. you dont want to borrow money, you want to do suzzannes plan, and you are not ready to test yet. so i think you are wise to not let others pressure you into taking it sooner. you do not want to test under so much pressure. this is your exam, your the one who completed school, so you will take it when you are ready. i am sure your friends only mean well, but you have to put your feelings first.

omg! theres an opening for Feb1!! thats this friday, I am tempted to schedule it and get it over with...... i need advice.... i really think i am ready, but i didnt finish all of my kaplan stuff.... hmmmmm
