i will be starting nursing school in the fall and i am wondering if the made incredibly easy books are any good. they have so many that i think would help me in the long to have, even if just for reference for tests.
did you buy any and which ones helped you the most. i am really looking into the charting and assessment books. i already bought the fundamentals and math dosage but have not got them yet.

I am starting in the fall and I'm planning on checking a few out of the library to see if they are worth the money before buying. I've heard great things about the Fluids and Electrolytes. I am also going to look through the Nursing Fundamentals one, since that's my first nursing course.
I bought the Pharmacology and never used it!
There was so much info and the book was so thick! I was overwhelmed whenever I opened it to try and use it so I never did.
I didn't have time to use it either bc I took the class in a 5 week summer block.
Our instructors do reference some of the articles in their magazines and I have found those to be very helpful. :)
The IV Therapy one was required for my 2nd semester lab class (which was almost all about IV therapy.) I found it very helpful. I'd actually like to get the whole Made Incredibly Easy series! lol
I also have RNotes and love it. It's handy to take to clinicals.
Another little book like RNotes that I like is Mosby's F&E Memory Notecards. It's nice to look at when a pt has F&E problems. It has little cartoons and info about S/S, causes of the imbalance, nursing/medical management, etc. I was planning on getting the F&E Made Easy book, but this was smaller and cheaper so I went with it.

I seen this book in BAM today, looked like a good one. This will be the next one I get.
So far I have got to
Fundamentals, charting, assessment, and dosage. I hope to get the IV, and fluids and electrolytes.
I think everyone could tell you what their personal favorite in this series is. There is quite a huge library in this series. My suggestion is to wait. If you find that you are having difficulty with a particular area then that is the time to invest in one of these books. Most of them cost around $40+ each. The Border's Bookstore in the mall where I live has 4 shelves stocked with nothing but this series of books, so they are popular, always on the shelf and available.

Our school puts out books on occasion that they are giving away...old edition of texts and references. I jsut picked up several and one was Charting made incredibly easy. I have read a bit and I like it. Very thorough without being dry about a subject that is just not that fascinating in my opinion. LOL!
I also subscribed to the journal Nursing Made Incredibly Easy and as a student I cannot tell you how impressed I am with it. Some complex subject matter, spelled out and illustrated in such a way that it just brings it to life for me. I know that I will be referring back to these continually through school. Even my husband flips through them.
A senior student I was speaking with recently said she has the Fluid and Lytes book and also the Patho one and loves them. They are next on my list.
