So, I said I would start this one after orientation so we could all have one thread to talk about things under instead of 10. What did everyone think of orientation? Any un-answered questions? And what start date is everyone requesting? Yay for the new uniforms/prices!

Lisa I did attend Macomb last year but it was an ethics class. Before that I was at south campus for micro. I am planning on working right up until March. So day classes are out for me.

We'll keep you guys updated! Right now, its finally starting to sink in and I'm getting really nervous...so hopefully I can make it until August!

Orna, did you check when/where your first clinical will be? I looked mine up on Webadvisor and for NURS 1265 it says I will be at SJND SJNHD...anyone know what that stands for?? I'm assuming it means St. John??

zhockeymom77: As for as the supply list, it wasn't like 1 stethoscope, a pair of white tennis shoes, all it was for was the scrubs and patches.

I wonder if we will get paper work for the doctors to fill out, for our physical and vaccinations? I thought that was coming along with the letter. Maybe this coming week?

For those of you who had the CPR class at HFMH, how did it go? Whats it like? I had taken the wellness and intervention course here at MCC, and got my CPR certification, which expired a couple weeks ago.

Yep. St. John Hospital (Detroit campus), which is on Moross.

Did you take this course with Jenuwine? You have a 30 day grace once you expire and we were told you can get recertified with this instructor for a small fee.

No, I didn't take it with that professor. The professor took down our e-mail addresses and was supposed to e-mail us, but never did.

If you still have the instructor's email, it wouldn't hurt to try. The fee may be less than a full course somewhere else.:)

Thanks! I actually work there haha...I was hoping to get to see another hospital for the first clinicals, but oh well, atleast I'll know my way around..
