Macomb Community Graduates 2012-13

So, I said I would start this one after orientation so we could all have one thread to talk about things under instead of 10. What did everyone think of orientation? Any un-answered questions? And what start date is everyone requesting? Yay for the new uniforms/prices!

Well, I just called the office, and she told me that I'm a March start.... I asked for the earliest possible date, but since I ranked 151, obviously I didn't have a lot of room to be asking for anything... SOOOO.... March it is. I'm sad about it, but I guess I just have to be thankful that at least I'm in a program.....

LauJen they didn't get all mad at you when you asked them for your start date? lol

I told my fiance' to get home and check that mail box. I want to tell work what my start date is....

No, they didn't get mad. The "office staff" (they wont let me post names on here) is a realllly nice person, and she said people have been calling all day, and that she's use to it. Just call and give her your ranking # and she'll tell you.

I don't even know my ranking I never got it but my hesi was 87 and gpa a 3.7

And Murph, I had a 3.7 something GPA and an 89 on the HESI, and I ranked 151, so, sounds like you may be somewhere around me.

Well Lauren - we will be together, March it is. When you called the office, did they say if you moved up in the ranking since there were so many no shows? It's going to be a long 9 months!

Forensic - could you please tell me what is on your supply list?

Well Lisa, I'm glad I'll at least have you with me! She said I would move up if people dropped out, but I did the math, and I need about 15-18 people to leave the program for a january start (151 current ranking - 13 alternates = 138 in the ranking, and 120 through 159 start in March) so provided everyone ahead of me wants to start ASAP as well, it looks like I need about that many people to leave. So, Im not ruling it out, but not planning on anything either. Lisa (and all other people starting later), maybe we could take the HHSC class together? I've noticed it's once a week for like, 2 hours this fall... Let me know what you think!

Hey guys, I'm starting in August. I got my clinical placement too..Is anyone else starting in August?

Lauren, I was thinking the same thing about HHSC. I would have to take it on either Monday or Wednesday - there is a 9 am and a 1 pm class on each day. Would one of these work for you?

I will be taking classes towards my bachelors and my daughter will register with me on T/TH.

Well at least a March start will give me plenty of time to review A&P and read all of the books that I want :) but it does seem like a lifetime away.
