LvN requiring Cgfns

I am a Filipino Nurse and tried to apply for NCLEX PN because i could not sit for NCLEX RN due to the concurrency issue.

After long months of waiting. I have received a letter from BVNPT that i need my transcripts evaluated by a credentialing agency such as CGFNS. I was surprised because i never have had heard that lvn needs cgfns evaluation. Does anyone have the same experience as me? And what happened after?

hi guys! thanks for all the feedback. been reading your posts, and we have the same situation -- applied for lvn ca, and got a reply with an additional requirement of a credential verification agency such as cgfns. so applied for cgfns-ces, sent my school the forms, and school directly sent the tor and filled out forms to cgfns. it was received by the agency, but now they're asking for rle (related learning experience) documentation. it says it wasn't included with the nursing transcript from my school????? does anyone has the same experience????? thought they're only asking for the official transcript though???? anyone please. thanks.....

and when you say rle documentations, you mean just the tally of duty hours enumerated or the entire paper works like the duty hours and cases - all the forms from hospital/clinical duty?????

It's possible the CGFNS is looking into the BVNPT regulations and now noticing that the BVNPT does have the same concurrency rules as the CA BRN.

I think the school provides the Related Learning Experience together with your Official Transcript of Record.its included there I think (but still im not sure if all the schools are like that or maybe you need to request a separate copy of your RLE in your school). The transcript contains the subject explaination first and then the RLE info. It has the number of hours and the hospitals where you did your duties or clinical experiences. I saw my transcript before And my school included it on my transcript :)

- maybe your school forgot to include your RLE in the transcript. Or try to ask the CGFNS to make sure if what they really need and then ask your school about it. The BVNPT needs that info so they can evaluate your clinical and theory hours.

I dont think that they will ask for the clinical cases lol if ever they ask, maybe the bvnpt change their rules again And make it to concurrent like the CA BRN

yes, you exactly got where I was heading with my query. this all look so familiar - asking for the rle - then it's going for the concurrency rule - exactly what happened with california nclex-rn application. i'm hoping not though. :(

I think all the schools have a list of your Related Learning Experience together with your Official Transcript of Record.its included there (it explains the subjects and the rle information) It has the number of hours and the hospitals where you did your clinical experiences before. I saw my transcript before thats why I knew about that lol.

yes, the school has all the docs. wasn't sure whether they would like the clinical cases or just the summary form (of rle docs) of some sort. was thinking maybe someone had the same instance and would like to share what they did. hhmmmm. maybe my school really did not include the rle docs. ugghh. i only told them the (1.) official tor, and the (2.) two forms to be sent directly to cgfns, but was also thinking they would send other necessary papers... i think i will just have to contact my school to send the "rle documents"....

yes, i didn't want to directly say it, but my query was actually gearing towards the idea that maybe it's about concurrency rule again, an all too familiar process. hope not though!!!! my gawwd!!!!!

I agree its included with the TOR that the schools sends to CGFNS. I just look at mine since I have a copy of the documents that my school sent to CGFNS.

Secondly, I do hope they will not implement the same rules with NCLEX-PN. But if they will, Im glad I'm done processing my documents😅

Hmm i think its still a normal process of them (CGFNS and BVNPT) to ask for the RLE information if its not included in the transcript :) but if theyre asking for our clinical cases then maybe they change their rules again and copy the concurrency rule of CA BRN

LEts still not lose hope lol. Im still waiting for my cgfns update and im planning to expedite it, lets see if they ask for more documents , ill update you here hehe
