LvN requiring Cgfns

I am a Filipino Nurse and tried to apply for NCLEX PN because i could not sit for NCLEX RN due to the concurrency issue.

After long months of waiting. I have received a letter from BVNPT that i need my transcripts evaluated by a credentialing agency such as CGFNS. I was surprised because i never have had heard that lvn needs cgfns evaluation. Does anyone have the same experience as me? And what happened after?

Yey! Lol thank you :) hope its real :D maybe i will just wait for the letter instead if its only one or two weeks. Btw, is it hard to find a job for lvn here in LA? Im worried cause i still dont have any experience :/ and also what is the current minimum salary for lvn? Thank you so much. Godbless

I didn't have a hard time finding work. Try to apply to SNF's cause they are always hiring. For my current position they offered me $23/hr with opportunities for OT. Goodluck finding work!

but yeah I should always stay positive :D . Wow $23 isnt that bad. Btw I received the letter yesterday and its confirmed. I am now also a LVN :D Yey! Atlast. Its really worth the wait.

At first, I was so scared to open it cause it looks so thick that it might be a CPR letter haha! Thank you very much po for all the help since the beginning :) Till next time po.

Hellk everyone! I am also an RN grad from the Philippines and planning to move to Cali in a few months. I’m just wondering if there are recent change/s with requirements at BVNPT? If none, I have mtiple questions. I’m hoping someone in can answer me. Please and thank you! ?

1. Does BVNPT require us to have breEZe And CGFNS assessments? Like two sets of credentials and two assessments?

2. Did you also submit credentials to BVNPT for them to assess before you were told you need CGFNS?

3. Do I need to start application for BVNPT, wait for their reply before I can even start with CGFNS or can I start with CGFNS and after a month, send my application to BVNPT (trying to save time if this is possible)

1. You can apply by mail.

2. I send my application first then I register cgfns , no need to wait for the feedback/letter of bvnpt.

3. After sending your application to bvnpt start your cgfns to be evaluated.
