LvN requiring Cgfns

Published

I am a Filipino Nurse and tried to apply for NCLEX PN because i could not sit for NCLEX RN due to the concurrency issue.

After long months of waiting. I have received a letter from BVNPT that i need my transcripts evaluated by a credentialing agency such as CGFNS. I was surprised because i never have had heard that lvn needs cgfns evaluation. Does anyone have the same experience as me? And what happened after?

Thank you

I just created an account for kaplan then signed up for the free events. I think I only did one session. lol

Hi Sir Osis, I just wanna ask something again :D sorry if im asking too many questions lol .i just wanna clarify something. How long will it take to get the ATT from BRn or BVNPT after registering to pearson vue? Is it true that the ATT will give you another 6 months to take the test? Thank you so much :) im still not registered to pearson vue because im still undecided to pick the month that I want to take the test. Hehe. Godbless.

lol sa sir ..when I registered to Pearson , I got my ATT emailed to me the same day. Well actually I didnt wait that long it took about 20 mins after I registered then my ATT was emailed to me :) And yes, ATT validity is 6 months. So you have to take the exam within 6 months after registration. I registered Sep 6 then took the exam on the 8th. How's your review? lol

Hello. Sorry for the late reply lol im still not registered yet on the pearson vue cause I still didnt know which month am I going to take the test :o :(

And also Im still havent decided yet regarding on which review books am i going to use :/ is it exam cram, saunders or uworld. Im still confused and in shock lol though i tried to read the saunders nclex for RN and right now im in the fluid and electrolytes topic lol but I mean, how do I know if im ready to take the test? lol

I tried the free questions on the internet and Everytime I tried it, i always got only half of the total items, like if the questions are 50 items, I just only got 25 or 27 lol so i think i need to review more :/

Hi.. Do you need to send application to bvnpt and cgfns. Or if you send it first to cgfns to evaluate your credentials. Then tgey will be the one sending it to bvnpt?

@samantha- you'll never feel ready lol atleast that's how I felt when I took the exam :)

@mj_mj- Yes, my suggestion is have your credentials evaluated first then once CGFNS release your CES send in your application to BVNPT.

What is the status of your application so far?

What's the status of your application so far? we had the same issue here, I also received a letter from bvnpt that they need my transcript to be evaluated by cgfns, I applied cgfns-CES professional report and I'm in the final steps of the process. I don't hold a license in the Philippines, they just asked me to submit an email or fax stating why I don't hold a license in the Philippines, its not problem, they just need to know that we don't do any negligence reason why the PRC revoked, suspend or cancelled Phil license. In my case, I don't have license because I didn't take the local board because I already came here in the US. The cgfns just need to know if you really have the degree of Nursing and if its equivalent to the level of studies in here. Just want to share

Hi @osis! Did you start with CGFNS evaluating your credentials first before applying to the Board? I noticed in the application process that you need to submit records of nursing program, license, and employment hx along with the formal application form. But isn't that what's the CGFNS is for? Thanks!

Actually when I applied to the BVNPT I didn't know about the CGFNS-CES evaluation í ½í¸œ I received a letter form the boards that I needed one so I was able to do it after initial submission to BVNPT.

If you are doing method 3 you don't need to submit an employment history, just your school documents both to the boards and CGFNS. No need for license submission to the boards just the CGFNS.

Goodluck!

Hi guys. Is it advisable to apply a job while reviewing? Thank you.
