LvN requiring Cgfns

I am a Filipino Nurse and tried to apply for NCLEX PN because i could not sit for NCLEX RN due to the concurrency issue.

After long months of waiting. I have received a letter from BVNPT that i need my transcripts evaluated by a credentialing agency such as CGFNS. I was surprised because i never have had heard that lvn needs cgfns evaluation. Does anyone have the same experience as me? And what happened after?

Good to hear that!! Mine only took about a week or typo to get my eligibility letter . Have you started reviewing??

Hi. I just wanna update you guys. I got my Eligibility letter yesterday ������ And I haven't started to review yet lol i started to browse my notes but im not taking it seriously :D probably now I will. Did you take your NCLEX PN already? What would you like to recommend? What did you review? :D I heard that uworld and rachel allen are very helpful and effective :) thank you so much on this thread.It really helped me a lot. Goodluck to all of us. 😊

Yes, I took it Sep 8,2017 and just paid for my license few days ago. I just did self review. I bought the Saunders NCLEX-PN 6th edition and the NCLEX mastery app. I studied for about 2 months. :)

My computer stopped at 85 and I was so glad that it stopped cause the exam was hard lol.

Well I would say that Saunders is good with content and also their online practice quizzes was very helpfull.It gives you simple rationales. What I did was one month of reading then one month of answering questions. And nope, I didnt read it cover to cover lol cause I dont really enjoy reading hehe

I cant comment on other books or review classes cause I didnt really use anything aside from Saunders. Although, I did sign up for the free NCLEX-PN exam practice test at Kaplan that gives you free access to online class for 2 hours only. But the class did help me with how the NCLEX works and with strategies on how to tackle questions.

- if the examination didnt stop at 85 ( like if youre higher or lower at 85) does it mean you failed? :/

- what particular saunders did you use? Is it the saunders comprehensive review?

- is it okay to use the saunders for RN instead of LPN for the exam? :/ i only have saunders for RN and also the brunners and suddarth :/ please help .

I think the minimun question you can take is 85. So you either pass or fail at 85. And you can also pass or fail with the maximum of 205 questions. It really up on how fast can the computer identify if your passing or not. They say that if you keep on getting hard questions most probably you are passing.

Yep, the one with the orange-red cover.

Although the concept maybe the same I would suggest using the one specific for PN. But its still up to you hehe.
