Lucile Packard New Grad RN Nurse Residency 2015

Published

I've been reading through old threads about Lucile Packard's New Grad RN Nurse Residency program but couldn't find any info or threads about 2015. The application period just closed, who else applied? What unit are you interested in working? Any past cohorts of the LPCH new grad program willing to share their experiences? Anyone have any info about the program that they can share?

this might honestly be a stupid question, but I don't remember choosing 3 units at any point. I think there was a selection for "peds acute", etc but was there ever an actual preference thing? I don't remember the application from March at this point.

I mean I've done so many applications in the past 4 months or so I could be confused... But I thought I remembered choosing 3 units in order of preference.

From what I remember, I only chose one unit so I picked Acute Peds... I know reading some of the previous years LPCH posts that I saw that people had to rank what units they were interested in? But I don't remember doing that for my app...

The acute peds sounds familiar to me too, I don't even remember the other choices at this point. Everything just blurs together...just making sure I didn't already mess this up. see some of you tomorrow! :)

Hey all! I'm wondering how interviews went today? Any advice or insight? :)

How is everyone feeling after that? :bag:

Does anyone know when the next cohort for new grads will be?

does anyone know the REALISTIC timeline for getting a licensed endorsed to CA/obtaining a temp permit? Any ways to expedite the process? I was offered a second interview, but I would be coming from out of state and am curious if I would even have my California license in time for this position.

Sorry, I don't know anything about endorsing license to CA... but Congrats on the 2nd interview, lferrill!

Has anyone else heard back from LPCH?

Specializes in OR.

Hi,

I got a call today for a second interview tomorrow. I'm OR though, so the millions of NICU applicants can rest easy! :p

As far as I'm know (I did my preceptorship at LPCH), they are taking 4 OR new grads. Just FYI.

I got invited for a 2nd interview for the PICN! :)

Specializes in pediatric ER, adult ER.

I also got a call for the OR! :) Does anyone know what to expect with the second-round interview?
