LPNs/LVNs: What's Your Specialty?

What's your specialty? In other words, in which field are you currently working? I'm currently doing LTC (long-term care) at a nursing home and have a PRN job as a medication nurse at a psychiatric hospital. I have worked in rehab, but it is not for me.

Cardiac tele...soon to be RN. Taking HESI today, graduating tomorrow.

What is CHPLN?

Certified hospice and pallative licensed nurse. I have mine also, but left hospice just recently to return to LTC (nights) so I can take some day classes and work on my BSN.

Currently Short and Long term rehab. Before I was a nurse: Med-Surg, Same Day Surgery, ER, L&D, NICU, Clinic. Wish to go back to ERRRR! There's no other joy than pushing those Ewald tube and seeing those pill fragments run down the reservoir and the patient walks out of your ERRRR. Besides starting 14 and 16 gauge IV cath in trauma, Wow!

rehab, subacute, cardiac care unit. sometimes i do get floated to ltc but my home floor 90% of the time is the cardiac care unit. i hope to oneday become an ACNP and do the cardiac care unit 100% of the time.

Residential center for behavoiral children.I love it.Campus setting,pool,playground,garden,gym ,school,houses.Its so cool!!Minor illness and injuries.Low stress.
