Well if there are schools without prereq. Why not?‍♂️ am a CNA and working ... if I can get LPN for 12months why choose 2.5years for the same

Because faster doesn't always equal better, and those faster programs often come with a hefty price tag. Please check the accreditation and NCLEX pass rates before you commit to any program. It's a sad situation when someone overpays for an "education" that doesn't prepare them adequately to pass boards, yet student loans still come due.

Schools that claim you don’t need prerequisites aren’t exactly honest. You still need to take those classes, you just might not need them for admission. Often, these schools are more expensive for-profit schools. A community college or vo-tech is going to be your cheapest option. Even if you go the for-profit route, you can save money by taking a lot of those general education (prerequisites) at a community college and transferring the credits. Be aware that most credits earned at for profit schools do NOT transfer to other schools.

There is a theme running through the responses warning you about programs without the prerequisites that seem to be an obstacle for you. Of course you're free to take the advice or not, but why ask if you've already made up your mind?

I admit the program I am presenting is very far from you. BUT besides a high school diploma, GED they will admit you from your TEAS scores. The program does include A&P but the course will not transfer. The Capital Career Center is loosely affiliated with Lind Land Community College, where we respect the efforts of self teaching as Abraham Lincoln did.

I moved here from another state  and mostly all residents were not born/raised here.

Hello, I just came across your post and there is actually an LPN program I will be applying to in October. Not sure if you're looking for one in your area or anywhere in the US, but the community college I am enrolled in does have an LPN program with no prerequisites, meaning you do not need to have any college courses. Although you still have to take the HESI A2 exam and be enrolled in the college before applying. It is a 10 month program as well. If you don't mind moving out of state to a remote area, I can dm you which college it is. It's also accredited in case anyone is wondering.
