Please I need help without LPN schools around the Maryland/DC area without prerequisites. Please any information will be higher appreciated. This dream of mine I cant wait to achieve, am a CNA and working at the moment so weekends or evening classes will really be dream come through ?
With prerequisites LPN might not necessarily be faster than RN. Where I currently live the LPN programs are often very expensive too and with lower salary potential that can be tricky. But does your current employer offer tuition assistance? If not it might be worth trying to get a CNA job somewhere that will pay towards your LPN and/or RN.
In my area, community colleges Associate Degree Nursing program offers daytime AND evening + weekend course options. There is a wait list as more applicants than open seats due to lack of space at local hospitals to accept students as an urban/suburban area. I gave you link to programs in your area, so research them to see which fits your work + family commitments.
Two of my best hires as clerks in home care agency were nursing students attending evening+WE ADN program; one continued as RN while she completed BSN program as most hospitals in Philadelphia area require BSN degree and area saturated with 12 BSN programs.
