I actually have a question regarding salaries. I will be graduating in March 13' for my LPN. I'm moving to Horn Lake, MS (just outside Memphis, TN) afterwards. I'm trying to figure out what an entry level/ new graduate LPN salary or hourly pay would be. I'm from PA and the starting rate around here is 18-22/hr. I've googled a lot of different sites, but have pretty much come up empty handed. Does anyone know the LPN salary or have an idea? Thanks

I am a new grad RN in Ohio and just got offered a job that pays $17/ hr. in an assisted living facility. Got another offer for $19/ hr. at a skilled LTC. Of course, these are low-ball offers bc out market is saturated, but I think LPNs get 13 to start out around here and can get up to $17 or 18 with yrs. of experience. If possible, call and ask around.

The LPN pay rates are rather low in northern Mississippi due to the lower cost of living in that part of the country. $15 per hour would be a really good wage there, but do not be shocked if the rate is lower.

I know someone that does private duty and gets $30 bucks an hour. The further you go down South the less you will make because of the cost of living. Also make sure that your license will transfer over because of hours required by state to finish nursing school. Good Luck

I'm near Cleveland Ohio. As a new LPN a couple years ago I was started at around 17 , that is not including my diff and other hourly bonuses. Between 17-20 is about what a new grad LPN can expect around here.

I have been an LPN' at a majoyr hospital system for 11 years. They hired me before I had even passed my state boards...that's how serious the nursing shortage was then! Now I am in my 12th year, went from MedSurg to LTC to Skilled care. I am working on my associate degree so I will have an RN license, with the freedom to move around within my hospital my salary started at around $18 when I started; now I'm up to around $25.
