admin note from brian: since this magazine is being discussed, i wanted to let you all know that you can buy this magazine from the allnurses.com book store in association with amazon.com (allnurses.com does get a small amount of proceeds)
you can find the page here:

I subscribed to it...just haven't received a copy yet. I found the subscription card in Nursing 2004 magazine. If it turns out to be a good magazine, positive feedback might result in 12 issues instead of just six. Time will tell.
It's supposed to start in January 2005, so probably sometime this month.

what sort of articles would you like to see in lpn2005? i know i receive advance for lpns & find a lot of their articles watered-down. often times, i feel that that particular magazine seem to be written on an eighth grade level, unlike their advance for nurses that's geared for the rns. i know there's differences between the two but....... since reading nursing 1998-2005 & nursing made incredibly easy series, i've got some confidence that this magazine will be an excellent resource for us!
i'd like to read articles that deal with the whys as well as refresh on the hows. i'd also want to see some political materials geared at uniting lpns.
soooooo....what do you all want to see in a magazine geared for us?
cheers!

I haven't received mine yet. I emailed Lippincott a few days ago to check on my subscription status. So, hopefully soon.

Well everyone, I received my copy in the mail, have not had time to read it yet, but flicking thru some of the articles seem interesting. Anyone else got theirs yet? If so what do you all think?

This is the magazine for the new england area that I get and its free just for lpns!!! Its really interesting
I liked it. The articles were interesting. I was disappointed that they had absolutely no facilities advertising for LPN jobs. I know there are LPN jobs in the world but not one facility is listed that is looking for LPN's in that magazine. I am hoping that will change in the future and they will start listing facilities that are looking for LPN's. :)
