I subscribed to it...just haven't received a copy yet. I found the subscription card in Nursing 2004 magazine. If it turns out to be a good magazine, positive feedback might result in 12 issues instead of just six. Time will tell.

Specializes in Psychiatry.

It's supposed to start in January 2005, so probably sometime this month.

Good, glad to hear I'm not the only one waiting. Just can't wait to check it out. Have any of u heard of the nurses magazine called "Revolution". I saw it on another forum on here about favorite nurse magazines?????? Curious if it is really good. I never heard of it till today.:p :p :p :p

what sort of articles would you like to see in lpn2005? i know i receive advance for lpns & find a lot of their articles watered-down. often times, i feel that that particular magazine seem to be written on an eighth grade level, unlike their advance for nurses that's geared for the rns. i know there's differences between the two but....... since reading nursing 1998-2005 & nursing made incredibly easy series, i've got some confidence that this magazine will be an excellent resource for us!

i'd like to read articles that deal with the whys as well as refresh on the hows. i'd also want to see some political materials geared at uniting lpns.

soooooo....what do you all want to see in a magazine geared for us?

cheers!

hi and i agree i don't get much out of advance for lpn's. matter of a fact i seem to throw it away before i check it out lately. i'm busy so i don't want to waste time reading something that doesn't keep my attenion. i love the nursing made incredibly easy. i just wish it came monthly. i love that it doesn't have ads. i also enjoy the refreshers and would like to see more than one way to do certain procedures.:p one last thing i would love to see is facilty rating lists(employee satisfaction). i think that would hold facilities a little more accountable.

I have not received my copy yet :o Hopefully it will arrive soon.:)

Well everyone, I received my copy in the mail, have not had time to read it yet, but flicking thru some of the articles seem interesting. Anyone else got theirs yet? If so what do you all think?

I haven't received mine yet. I emailed Lippincott a few days ago to check on my subscription status. So, hopefully soon.

This is the magazine for the new england area that I get and its free just for lpns!!! Its really interesting

Well, just checking in with everyone.....has anyone else received the mag yet? If so what do you think?

I recieved mine this last weekend...I think it is OK so far. I was a bit disappointed in that it only had 5 or 6 articles in it...for being a bimonthly magazine I would expect alot more info in it. Hopefully the next 5 will be better.

I liked it. The articles were interesting. I was disappointed that they had absolutely no facilities advertising for LPN jobs. I know there are LPN jobs in the world but not one facility is listed that is looking for LPN's in that magazine. I am hoping that will change in the future and they will start listing facilities that are looking for LPN's. :)
