Loyola Chicago ABSN Fall 2021

Hi all,

I wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to Loyola University of Chicago's ABSN program for the Fall 2021 cohort.

I still have a few pre-recs to complete, but I am planning to submit my application next month. I would be moving from out of state and Loyola is my top choice program.

@Vgann20 I don't even think my application has even been reviewed yet because of my transcript issue... ? So mine doesn't say admit checklist

Yes, I saw the update today. I think it’s a good sign from what I read from the last cohort but still no official decision yet. I shows a list of the prerequisites classes now and I’m still pending two. Hope you see an update soon.

Sorry about that. I would contact your school to insure they sent them over then follow up with Loyola again. Hope they receive it soon.

I haven't seen any changes either! But I think mine was sent in a little later (submitted 1/12 and my last rec letter came in the 14th). Kinda nervous that they had so many more applicants than they expected, now I feel like mine was sent in too late ?

 @Vgann20 I agree, I think that is a good sign for you! ?

Thanks! I heard there was more applicants for the Maywood campus too. But I think you are still early. From what I saw in last cohort some people still applied late and got in.

I applied to Maywood. How about you?

@Vgann20 same! do you know how many are accepted per cohort? maywood vs downers grove?

I asked my advisor during the Summer and she said that Maywood accepts about 60 and Downer's Grove accepts about 100, but it probably changes each term

My advisor mentioned that it’s 100 students per cohort. But I don’t know how it’s split between the two.

Have you completed all your prerequisite. I’m still working on my last two.

I think everyone here was early enough!  

I'm not applying until next month and trying not to worry now. I'm sure it will all work out.
