Low applications for El Centro Fall 09'

Hello,

I've been hearing that El Centro's RN program for the Fall 09' semester is having a low turnout of applications. I'm not sure if this information is factual or rumors, but just wondering if any of you have heard anything about that and if so, do you know what the cause is?

I got my letter and did not get accepted but it did not state what the lowest GPA accepted was. Can someone post that info if they have received their letter?

another another thread. somebody got their acceptance letter. they got in. but they stated they had a 4.0 so i dont know if thats going to help you in regards to the cut off gpa

I had a 3.4 so I didn't have high hopes anyway but I thought I'd apply just in case. I pray you guys with higher GPAs get in.

I got in , 4.0 on prereqs, 3.79 on supports, 95.74 on HESI reading. But the letter did not say what the cutoffs were, and apparently the rejection letters did not either.

I am feeling worried because I did not receive my letter. I live in Irving, which is right next to Dallas, so I was sure I would get it today. Well, I hope I receive it tomorrow. Another sleepless night for me:yawn:

I applied to Northlake as the preferred campus with 3.53 GPA on Prereqs and 3.24 on Support with a 93.62 on reading with the HESI. Did not get accepted. Thank goodness had a backup-plan this time and applied at Brookhaven and was accepted.

Trek, congrats on your acceptance to Brookhaven's program!

You'll probably be much happier~ I've heard so many good things about the porgram and the support

of their instructors. Also...100% pass rate on NCLEX...you can't beat that!

Trek, Congrats on Brookhaven. I think you will be much happier. The El Centro Program is a joke. I've heard only good things about Brookhaven. I heard the teachers are supportive and encouraging. El Centro they are bipolar drill sargients that seem like they just want to see you fail.
