Low applications for El Centro Fall 09'

I've been hearing that El Centro's RN program for the Fall 09' semester is having a low turnout of applications. I'm not sure if this information is factual or rumors, but just wondering if any of you have heard anything about that and if so, do you know what the cause is?

Hello, well my home computer is not allowing me to get online very well today. I think it has a virus. I have been looking out the door since 10 am. Mailman usually comes by 1pm He hasnt even came today. I read on another thread that tesrider got in with 3.7 prerequ. If this is so, I have 3.8-so I hope this means I made it in. But I cannot believe I still dont have a letter. I mean I have been sitting right at the door all day and no mail man. Neighbors have not received mail today either...I just dont know. Now, kcoa11, I cant remember did you apply, did make it?? I hope so. As for me, still waiting and kinda freaking out and frustrated. But, what can I do? I guess just worry and hope:heartbeat

update....Mailman just came and no letter!!! What is going on?! I personally handed my packet to Kanora. I hope they didnt overlook it. Or what if my letter is lost!!!! Oh Lord!! I am so worried. It seems like most received theirs yesterday and nothing for me, even today. I feel sick. I know I sound dramatic, but I have been so devoted to this. I know everyone that applied has. I just want that darn letter so that I will Know for sure:uhoh3::cry::bugeyes:

I got my letter yesterday and I got accepted into the Northlake Campus. I had a 3.87 so I am thinking you are ok mom35. You should check on it though because it seems as if everyone has gotten a letter. Congrats to everyone that got in! :lol2:

Hi, I know the way you feel because I was feeling like you since I left my application. When I took my application, the college was closed that day and I left it in the box for applications, but nobody was there so I was praying the whole time that they received. So, just wait until Monday and if you do not received by them, just go to El Centro and ask them what could it happen. If you gave it in person to Kanora she should have a record and a copy of your letter. I wish you luck!!

I am proud of everyone, accepted, not accepted. Which ever one, keep going strong. Hopefully I will find out Monday of my status.

I just now have access to internet. I received my acceptance letter today!!!!!! I will be at the El Centro Campus, my first choice. I am very happy and so excited!!!! I really hope that I will be able to meet everyone at orientation in June. And don't forget to submit your acceptance form:redpinkhe And to any that didnt get in this time, please keep going and apply again!! I have read many accounts of former students that had to apply 2-4 times. Everyone, I will be sending out my little positive affirmations to you in meditation;) I appreciate how very supportive and kind this community is:up:

Congrats mom35! I knew you would get in! Worrying is such a waste of time, glad you can relax a little and prepare for your future ahead. As for me, I'm currently taking classes at El Centro, but will not be applying to their program. I'm applying to other schools for various reasons. However, I hope for you all the best in your program as well as everyone else who applied! To all of those that didn't get in...don't give up! PLEASE don't! It's not because you are not competent...it's that there are not many teachers to teach so the slots are few. It will happen for you...believe, have faith, and P.U.S.H!!

I love this community...let's keep supporting each other and bringing in all the postive energy and prayers for one another.
