  1. I applied to Northlake as the preferred campus with 3.53 GPA on Prereqs and 3.24 on Support with a 93.62 on reading with the HESI. Did not get accepted. Thank goodness had a backup-plan this time and applied at Brookhaven and was accepted.

  3. Dallasfynest: What was your GPA, that will get the data started. It looks as if they are not going to include it in the letter after the fiasco last semester.
  4. Not to throw a money wrench into the works, but you might also want to consider a question like: "In view of your body and persoanl care, do you see any difference in the way you would treat a male if he was a nurse or a doctor? If so, why? This will be a loaded question, but it will help to expose any double standards the woman might have as far as the roles of men. If she would let a male doctor perform the same tasks as a male nurse, then she should not have a problem with a male nurse period....right? You need in my opinion questions like these to help weed out the respondents that are not consistent in their ideas/beliefs. They can feel one way about a situation that is in direct opposition to another, which will skew your data.
  5. I was accepted with 29 points. Was not expecting answer this early, but now it is an awesome Friday.

  7. Emails are coming out today for Brookhaven. Please be sure to post your total points so we can quickly determine the point cutoff for acceptance/denials. God-Luck to everyone.

  9. If that rumor is true, that would be great. I bet a lot of applicants were "gun shy" after what happened last round with the screw up with the GPAs. Also, since the GPAs were so high last time, many probably did not bother to apply and activated backup plans, I applied to both Northlake/El Centro and Brookhaven/Mountainview, did not want all my eggs in one basket again. The low turnout at El Centro could be substantiated by the high applicants at Brookhaven, they were overwhelmed by the number of applicants reportedly at a little over 300. Applicants to El Centro would easily make the requirements at Brookhaven, El Centro requires a lot more.
  10. Sorry jpgmavs, The letters will go out on April 15th. However, depending on where you live in Dallas, you will receive it the next day. Been here before and El Centro/Northlake are timely with mailouts. There will be no early sending of letters. There was a big blunder during the last round of acceptance letters and I am sure they do not want to repeat that disaster by sending letters out early without lease checking three or four times before they mail. They had to revoke some admittances because they calculated the rankings incorrectly and did not discover it until a week later.
  11. Lost the .04 pts on the GPA portion of the application. You must use the online GPA calculator on the Brookhaven website.
  12. Ditto. Had to respond though, score was off by .04 points. Every bit helps.
  13. I just emailed Ann Cortez asking for an update regarding the status email. Hopefully she will respond today.
  14. Did he tell you the points?
