I am just going to assume it was a joke..Either way it was totally hilarious! Made my day....
Okay so it took me a few days to choke down the nausea and read more but omg did you see the mess to fathers at one of these links!?!?!?!?
the name is freestone and basically it says dont let your wife del in a hosp or with anesthesia or she will go crazy, be a bad mom, ruin your marriage and sex life and when your child grows up it will maybe commit suicide associated with the instruments and drugs associated with birth.
These people need help.

Nope . . . real. Maybe not for mark in reno . . .but real nonetheless in some part of the world.
The world is full of interesting people.

I just enjoyed that I was horrified AND amused all the way through at the sarcastic appraisal of what I know HAS to be going on and as an OB nurse, something I might have to deal with sooner rather than later. Ick! I love sarcastic wit, but I might fall apart if the aformentioned version is actually true...And I loved the kid names....

Ugh - maybe I will steer clear of Olive Garden for awhile and try cuisine that doesn't/can't incorporate placenta....
what would that be...

In a weird way, I suppose in a really economically poor country, the thought would be that the nutrients would be good for a recovering mother. Though their reasons were more religious/spiritual/social.

There was a book out over 20 years ago called Spiritual Midwifery in which there was a recipe for placenta stew

What, what is WRONG with these people? This is all really hysterically funny, but can you actually believe people feel it is okay to make Placenta stew? I mean, some poor guy is married to a woman who says "honey, lets eat the baby's placenta after the birth" I wanna be a fly on that wall.
And, as to the Lotus birth, whats wrong with people? Really. Why? Why? why?
My thought and attempted approach to all things is to each their own but don't attempt to force ME to comply. I respect people's differences but when it comes to this particular subject, it will be the FAMILY that cares for the rogue placenta....
