how many in here feel that you don't have to miss up in order to lose you license or certificated? the reason why im asking this question is because i made some mistakes ok, plus ive been terminated four times in aroll with in a year. and yes i have been turn into the state. that is why im asking, do you feel or ever feel you don't have to make a mistake?plus i choose not to dispute it.
ARBlunt, It seems you messed up pretty big time to have been terminated 4 times in a row, in one year and turned over to the state. What license did you hold? What certificate? Much more info is needed to even consider answering.

Was it due to charting errors?
Miss Ludie, I found aprevious posting where arblunt says she is a CNA.
I work in a LTC, I know that it costs to hire and train someone.. I'm a Charge Nurse and I know how many steps it takes to do the work for someone to be fired. Every "mistake" needs to be documented, and be part of a employment file. Also no Facility likes to involve the state about a employee, the state then needs to come in and investigate the situation.
Don't know what you did to get fired 4 times in one year, or to have the state notified but.... you might want to do some soul searching,, Just know if you and I worked together we'd would of had conversations before it got to this point about what expectations I had of you as a Aide, and how to correct any mistakes you'd made so that none of this would be presenting itself to you now.
A great Aide is the eyes, ears and hands of a good nurse.. I treasure the Aides I work with...they are a awesome dedicated group.
i had started to reply what happen to my last post reply?
im a certified nurses aide or should i say was. im going to admit that the last job i had i was wrong ok. and as for the last three i didn't do anything wrong. matter of fact i have ask why i was fired they refuse to answer me or send me a copy. by the way have any of you ever miss understood something in report?
We all make mistakes. We're human.
If you've been fired from CNA jobs 3 times for doing nothing wrong, then fired from a fourth one and turned into the State, my advice is to just hang it up and find another field to go into. Nursing is definately not for you.
Good luck in whatever you do.
arblunt... I know at our facility the only time someone was summarily fired was when their background check found something they did not disclose, or something came back from the State. Could one of your earlier jobs have filed something with the State that you didn't know about?
For me it is always better to try to work with a person correcting either bad training, or misinformation they think is OK than to work toward having to fire them...
I'm exmilitary and that is just my way....
what i did wrong on the last job i didn't follow the care plan. the last two i was working in a group home there was a client that had a ng-tube i got fire there because i refuse to help tube feed someone, where i wasn't train for or license. when the manager that fired me ask why i didn't help i told her i wasn't train or license, she told me either is she. and i know how dangers tube feeding can be if you make a mistake. this is what im taking about i don't have to do anything wrong to get fired or lose my cna.
I am a fairly new LVN who always worries about losing my license in the future and/or being reported to the state board of nursing for something.
I was hired onto my first nursing job a little over 2 months ago as an LVN charge nurse who passed meds, did treatments, and charted on 30 residents at a small nursing home. I did not receive the orientation I was promised, and something went horribly wrong. A chairfast resident managed to get out of her chair and fall onto the floor. I incorrectly documented the size of her head laceration and failed to send her to the hospital. I also did not complete the incident report correctly. I did not know how to send residents out to the hospital and there was no other nurse or RN supervisor to ask about the procedure for doing so.
This incident is my fault because I accepted an assignment for which I was not properly trained. I no longer work at this facility, but I still have worries that the DON or ADON may decide to report me to the state for unsafe practice or negligence. I was not written up or fired for this incident, but it still haunts me as a new nurse.
