Well even though I applied to the LVN bridge for this summer I will keep you guys posted. Someone wrote on the lvn bridge thread I started that they and another friend got calls last Friday to see if they were still interested and offered them a spot. I have yet to get a call or letter but when I do I will post there and here so I can give you guys all the info I get in case it can help you guys. Best of luck to us all and congrats to those who got accepted into other programs!

YES! I am very excited! The pack includes information on on when LVN registration is, schedules, fees, live scan info, uniform, malpractice, health clearance (they will give all paperwork for these things in registration day) there is also a schedule for the lvn transition course and the calendar for the year (btw new student orientation is 8/11-8/14) and fall semester begins 8/18), a text book list for the lvn transition semester and finally a packet of the nursing skills we are required as LVNs to pass before the start of the transition semester.

So excited for you!!!!!!!

Oh, you got everything, the whole package. It sounds like a lot :-). So many things to do. I am glad that the fall semester starts at least one week later than usual. They usually start the second week of August, but now it's 8/18, which means I would have a little longer break after my summer semester :smug:, if I end up attending County. Good luck with your nursing skill test and your transition course.

What are the total fees and do they have to be paid upfront or are they covered by financial aid? I have so many questions, but I guess I should wait until I get my acceptance letter ;)

AHHHHHH! :) Congratulations! I cannot imagine your excitement and the relief you must feel knowing that you've been accepted!!!!!

I must ask though, will you be doing the program? I read the Los Angeles County LVN thread every once in a while (don't worry, you were never talking to yourself LOL) and saw that a while ago, you posted that you would not accept the offer if County gave you one because you wanted to take care of your baby. Has that changed?

Yes, allaboutkitties, I am excited and relieved! Thanks for reading my posts on the other one too! Lol! I was going to put it off until next year but after longer consideration we decided it was best to go now if accepted. Plus the way our schedules work out my husband will watch the kids while I go to school so it works out.

Although we do not know each other and have not interacted much on here, I am EXTREMELY happy for you and your decision to continue on the next phase of your journey to becoming an RN!

I wish you nothing but the best of luck. :) May it all work out in your favor.
