Hello!
I will be applying for the Los Angeles County College of Nursing LVN-RN bridge program for summer 2016. I was wondering if there was anyone else applying for this program? Also, if any graduates from this program recommend the LVN-RN or generic route? I have 3.5 years of LVN experience. Thanks! I looks forward to the replies!
Hi @Joeaa
This period of the application process is the worst! I've been checking mail daily and still nothing. Im assuming they have been sent out already. I called last week and they replied "we're working on them". I kinda want to call and ask if we will receive a letter whether or not we're accepted. I live in a condo and mail gets lost occasionally.... Wouldn't want to miss my opportunity! Praying for all of us to get in!!
Starting a new chapter in life can take you on an "emotional rollercoaster". At this point, you just need to be prepared and give it 200%! Have you brushed up on skills? CPR updated? Physical? Immunizations? If not, you should get ahead while you can. I'm glad this forum is available for us. It's been somewhat of a motivation for me especially since you were accepted.

I have 82 points and currently taking Speech. They had called me in the beginning of April to let me know that the Psych classes I had taken were not the pre-req. So, I had to sign up for one and show proof that it would be completed before June to be eligible for the LVN bridg. By accident, I found out about the county program 7 days before the application was due in Feb, so I have zero points for Psych and Speech
Hoping to hear good news next week. Have a great weekend everyone!
(Major procrastination...I should really be working on my speech discussion that's due in 2 hrs.)
