Hello!
I will be applying for the Los Angeles County College of Nursing LVN-RN bridge program for summer 2016. I was wondering if there was anyone else applying for this program? Also, if any graduates from this program recommend the LVN-RN or generic route? I have 3.5 years of LVN experience. Thanks! I looks forward to the replies!

I'm planning to apply to this program also. As well as other LVN to RN programs at several community colleges

Graduate over here from the regular ADN program at County. If you're already an LVN, just go the LVN-RN route. No need to start at the beginning. You guys start in the summer before 3rd semester starts and you'll be acclimated to the schedule and structure of the program by the end of that summer. What some of the LVN students told me was that not everyone made it through summer because some students had been out of school for so long and they lacked study skills or had other thing going on that hurt them academically. Others with lots of experience didn't want to learn to do things the school's way and thought their way was better so they didn't make it through clinicals. As long as you can do the work and you're humble and go with the program, you should be fine.
Hows the summer classes? what does it cover? It'll be good to look over them before the class starts. Looking at their point system, I have 84 points right now, is that good enough to get in?
Has anyone gone to the info session?
I attended their last info session & the summer course sounds intense! It's a 5week transition course basically going over things we should know like pharmacology & that's all I can remember. There's going to be a skills check off list during the 5th week that you MUST pass before going into 3rd semester, you'll be expected to know pretty much everything that the generic students learned in 1st & 2nd semester before going into 3rd semester. Regarding the points, we were told that the least amount of point are usually between 78-82. So 84 point should be really good!

Hi guys!
well I'm getting discouraged now! I only have 73 points from the point system. Do you guys know how many students they accept?
are you applying to their program too?
I turned in my application recently, I'll also applying to LA Southwest College. nini_02 I think you should still apply; From previous threads, the points needed for the lvn to rn program is lower than the generic program.
Knock, knock... anyone still here? Who else completed the application for this summer?

I'm applying to the generic RN program. I took the test March 11th, Friday, and I still don't see any scores posted on ATI's website! Anybody else?
Hi @levylev
I took the teas on 3/11 as well & no results yet. I was starting to think it was just me. I wonder what's going on?
