Hello!
I will be applying for the Los Angeles County College of Nursing LVN-RN bridge program for summer 2016. I was wondering if there was anyone else applying for this program? Also, if any graduates from this program recommend the LVN-RN or generic route? I have 3.5 years of LVN experience. Thanks! I looks forward to the replies!
Congrats Jen. It's been a long day and I'm finally home. Got my letter today and I'm also on the wait list. I'll be seeing you and Endy on the 7th. I'm still debating whether it's a good or bad thing, but I'm just glad I finally got an answer. I guess not having the Psych and Speech class worked against me, ugh. Mine did not include a check list either, so hopefully we'll get it on Saturday. I'm definitely going to utilize the skills lab cause I'm very rusty. Practice, practice, practice...
I guess I have to wait another week or so before I decide about my job. Ok, now I need to concentrate on my final speech and paper which are due in 24 hrs.
@joeaa , hope you get yours on Monday.
@lencd Omg!!! Congrats!!!! So happy to read of your great news. You and I probably have similar letters. When I first read it I was like "Nnnnoooooo!!!" Lol! I wonder how many people are placed on wait list considering that there's only 25 LVN's accepted. I'm glad we found each other on here and I'm definitely looking forward to meeting you all! We should wear AllNurses.com badges so we know who is who hahaha!!!!
Hello everyone! OMG I just read the whole thread and I am soooo excited about my application to the bridge program this year (2018). I applied twice to the generic program without luck. First time they said my transcripts arrived late. 2nd time the cut-off was 77 points and my application had 76 points only. In the process, I finished my VN program and decided to retake Anatomy so I did and got an A. Now I am applying with 84 points (took the humanities requirement as well) to the bridge program. I have been patiently waiting to hear from them for a month and a half, but now that I've read this thread realize that I will have to wait a little longer than I expected. I guess they don't start notifying until the 3rd week of April. It's okay! I've been waiting so long to get accepted, I have learned to be patient.
Question for those who have either finished the bridge program, or are in the process of finishing: If you could go back in time, what would you study ahead of time? Can you provide me with the name of the textbooks so I can see if I can get used ones on amazon and start studying now? Any info will help. Thank you so much for your time in reading and responding to my questions. I really appreciate it. Good vibes to everyone :)

Mine doesn't include specific skills, hopefully we'll get something on Saturday. I have to prepare as I've forgotten all my skills.
