Hello I am applying to LAC Allied School of Nursing for the Fall 2013 semester ADN program. I was wondering if any body else is applying to this school for the fall 2013 semester or if there is anybody that currently attends or has attended this school that has any advice or opinions about this school. Any feedback would greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advanced.
I can't believe how late they are notifying applicants! I want to attend their school if I get accepted, but I've been accepted to another school and they have their own deadlines before the 1st of December! Goodness, what to do!
If I were you take it. It is hard to get into the nursing program. Youre very lucky that you got accepted already. Just take it, my advise!

You're right. I do feel lucky to have been accepted to a program in general. I just don't want to potentially miss out on an opportunity due to logistical reasons. But we shall see what happens within the next few weeks. I still have some time to work with... But thank you so much for your input, I really appreciate it!
jdc2013- I'm on the same boat as you. Will you be turning in the things you need to by the deadline to secure your spot in case? I think that's what I'll be doing..
Hi @goldenheart10. Well, my decision is still up in the air. However, I will be working on getting my vaccinations up to date, because regardless as to where I go - I know that needs to be done no matter what. There are other things that require $$, and I'm not sure if I'm willing to invest in all that just yet. I will give it a few weeks to see where I'm at. It's all rather stressful because both schools (County & the other school where I was accepted) are at the top of my list to attend. I just don't want to end up scrambling to get my stuff in order at the last minute!
jdc2013 I've been doing the same with my immunization record. I had to get another shot of MMR because my Titer results showed I had a low amount. Also, on my immunization record it showed that I had the 3 series hep B vaccine done but I had no immunity to it. Luckily I have the window to complete these now than rush in the end. I decided to give up my spot at LATTC as the deadline would've been this Friday November 8 to have turned in everything with the fees. When is your deadline?

Well, my deadline to turn in all paperwork is December 2nd. And while I have no qualms getting my vaccinations in order, I'm a bit hesitant to get other things completed like the background check, drug screen, CPR card, uniforms, etc. - only because each school has their own requirements and/or may use a different agency / prefer a particular company over another in terms of getting this all done. So I'm still holding out on a number of things. Hopefully we shall hear something before the end of the month, rather than at the end of it! Which schools have you heard back from so far? I only applied to 4 schools, so I've yet to hear back from the other 3. Best of luck to us all!
Hello everyone!
Im new to this thread and I guess I just wanted to inform whoever applied for the Spring '14 pool that they are sending out the letters already! I got mine today and, fortunately, I GOT IN!
I actually wanted to go to LACC instead cos I wanted to go to a LACCD school cos I am eligible for the BOGFW which meant I wouldnt have to pay for tuition and they also had a bridge program which im not completely sure if its guaranteed that i get into CSULA after i get the rn license at the county or not?
But after reading about how great the clinicals are for LA County and how it will really prepare me for when I become a nurse, I decided to go to this school.
Well anyway, good luck to the rest of you and I hope you all make it! !

wow that is great new !!!! if you don't mind me asking how many points did you have ?
Hello. I'm also new to this thread and I wanted to share some news. I also got a mail from county today... and I've been accepted for Spring '14. I'm not exactly sure how many points I have in total. It was either 80 or 81 and my teas score was 75.3%. I thought county would be sending their letters in early December but maybe they decided to speed things up. I also applied to LACC and LAVC but I haven't heard from them yet. Anyone else get a letter from county??
