Hello I am applying to LAC Allied School of Nursing for the Fall 2013 semester ADN program. I was wondering if any body else is applying to this school for the fall 2013 semester or if there is anybody that currently attends or has attended this school that has any advice or opinions about this school. Any feedback would greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advanced.
Hello everyone just putting up another update. Clinicals are great. Everything we learn we get to put into practice. There is a lot of preparation that goes into client care. We have to do clinical worksheets for every patient we take care of. These worksheets take hours to complete. The tests are tricky. Overall this is a great school. If you really want to learn what it means to be a nurse definitely apply to this school. Just be warned your whole life will revolve around school. Well I have to study now take care everyone.[/quote']
Good luck! Thanks for the heads up!
You are right about not having time :-). My previous degree is in journalism, so I'm thinking maybe they could give me points for political science classes I took for my previous degree, I took three political science courses, plus I don't know which courses they choose for humanities, I took many before, but I guess it's all up to them. I think you are in with 84 points :-), but we must try hard with that teas test, and as you say not much time for anything, let alone going over that ATI preparation book:nailbiting:. If I don't make it this semester I'll get an extra point the following semester as a second time applicant hihi. But also, you might be right about their way of doing the point system, and I might have socio and speech done by then; that would give me those precious points. I don't live too far from the school, it's not in my backyard :-), but probably 15 min drive, which is great. What about you? Would it be a long commute for you or you live near by as well?
Hi Enzyme,
I haven't been able to spend much time on here, I've been studying for my biology mid term and had to write a 5-7 lab report and only had one full day to do it.
I'm thinking that the info session will probably be this month? Hopefully! But who knows?! The county does things on their on time :)
I live about 25 minutes from the school without traffic...lol.

I too am studying like crazy; I have two midterms next week, plus all the essays and reports, but that's nothing compared to what's waiting for us in the nursing school :-). Good luck on your midterms !
Well, weve been discussing different schools so..got confused! If you were asking about the county, their info session for Spring 2014 is done!
I meant for students who will apply in spring (the applicants), not start the program in spring. I plan on applying in Febr for fall 2014, so I'm eager to see those info session dates :-). Have you applied yet? Any advices?

I see. You know county has their own time. Lol. Most likely a month before the start of the application.
