Hello I am applying to LAC Allied School of Nursing for the Fall 2013 semester ADN program. I was wondering if any body else is applying to this school for the fall 2013 semester or if there is anybody that currently attends or has attended this school that has any advice or opinions about this school. Any feedback would greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advanced.
Theone40, I will be applying to the LVN-RN program this fall and will (hopefully) start next summer 2014 and actually be entering into the 3rd semester of the people who have been writing in this thread. I have heard that the cut off for LVN-RN is generally lower than that generic cut off. During the application period which is Nov. 15 - Feb. 15 they will have information sessions for generic applicants and an info session for the LVN-RN applicants. At least they did last fall. I plan on attending that info session. Would you be applying this fall or next fall?
Hello to everyone just want to update this thread a little. So far we are in our third week of first semester. The staff is really nice and helpful. There is a lot of reading to do (which is why I haven't replied in a while). The staff really reinforces everything we learn. All requirements for passing a class are clearly stated and rules are strictly adhered to. So far so good we have our first set of tests soon and I guess I'll update after those tests. :)

Thanks for updating us! So far, is the program how you envisioned it to be?
Hello everyone!
I just took the TEAS V this past weekend. I studied hard and smart (i tried) but I felt that the actual test was harder! The time for each test was too short
Hoping to get atleast 75%. I am applying for Spring 2014. Hope I get in
The reason why I chose this college because I work for the county already and its close to where I work, LAC+USC.
Oh God! I hope I passed!

I hope that you get a great TEAS score!! What is your current position at the County? I'm sure you know a lot about the program then :)
Hi guys! So I took the test and unfortunately I got only 71.4%. I feel a little down right now. I know its a passing score, but I only got 15 points. My gpa is 3.6 but my teas is a little low, I guess. Im only 77 points and I need 5 more points to get into their program (82 and above). I feel so down. I applied somewhere else too in hope that they accept me into their program. But Los Angeles County school is my first choice. Help! Im feeling down

So sorry to hear that you are feeling down! Don't lose hope! How do you know the cut-off is 82? It's different every semester... Well, don't feel too let down. I take the TEAS this week, and I'm feeling really scared actually...but I'll let you know how it goes. Anyway, good luck and keep up hope!

I'm sorry about you not scoring above 75 on your teas for the extra 5 points, but even if you don't get in for the spring semester, you can always apply again for the fall 2014 semester. If la county is where you really want to go, you shouldn't give up!

thanks atoms for the feedback. I was also curious if anyone on this thread did the LVN-RN bridge. What was the cut for points ? Is it less competitive then the generic ADN ?
