Los Angeles City College-Fall 2014 Applicants

Hello future nurses!

I am starting this new thread for everybody that is planning to apply to LACC's nursing program for Fall 2014. How many of you are planning to apply for Fall 2014? I'll be finishing my last prerequisite (chemistry) this winter and hope to apply in February. Good luck to us all!

I called them this morning and I am actually alternate number 8 on the list and have a really chance of getting in. Since I have a good chance of getting in, they already want to know if they should save my space on the list by May 19th but it seems really to soon to do since I haven't even heard from any other colleges. Do you think it will be okay if I don't hear from other schools by May 19th I confirm a space, but if I do get accepted from PCC after that date, I decline after?

Of course it is. Just confirm the spot immediately. It is easy to back out, some other alternate will be happy to get your spot if you get in somewhere else. And if you don't get in anywhere else you will most likely get into LACC as many people give up their spots because they have preference for other colleges that may be closer to them. Just save your spot at LACC

Oh wow! You'd be getting in for sure. Are you going to give up your alternate spot, since you have been accepted to Cal State, or you would attend CC?

I am not quite sure what to do yet. Most likely I am going to confirm my alternate spot in LACC, but CSULA will still be my first option.

Hi Enzyme, i can't send private emails yet as I am new ( i need 12 posts in think) i took my prereqs at gcc. do you guys know when we will receive the letter about the medical tests, vaccinations, etc? does anyone know until when we need to complete those testings?
